This was one of my favorite lodging places I’ve ever been in my 17 countries of travel. The location is perfect, the property is gorgeous & the owner and staff are top notch. You’re right outside the Medina, but only 10 minutes from the train station. Breakfast is delicious, and you can add any service you may need. We had a large quantity of dirty clothes upon arrival and for a very affordable fee they got all of our clothes cleaned and returned to us. Can’t recommend this place enough and if we return to Fes, I would choose this dar again. Perfect!

Wonderful quiet riad with the most genuine attentive hosts. This place is spotlessly clean, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, shower is great, and just a beautiful interior overall. The host family makes the MOST delicious dinners - definitely stay in and eat here! They also arranged for our private driver for a day tour to Volubilis, Moulay Idriss and Meknes - a very good day despite the somewhat dreary weather! Absolutely beautiful place and family. Highly recommend!

Excellent property (an exceptionally well-done modernized 18th Cent. dar) in a good location and with top-notch, as-friendly-as-it-gets service. Can drive to within a very short and easy walking distance and then park only a little farther away. Good breakfast, too - even includes eggs! Would stay there again.

Namir and his wife are warm and excellent hosts in this beautiful dar. All of the staff are friendly, kind and helpful. The food (breakfast and dinner) are excellent. Let Namir (who is passionate about visitors having a great experience) arrange a certified guide for you to visit the medina in Fez. The guide he arranged for our tour was an extremely knowledgeable native of Fez who shared the history, the culture, and the artisanal traditions of Fez. We witnessed other guides steering their groups mostly to shops where they seemed to know the owners. The dar is immaculate and there are beautiful, hand crafted tiles throughout. The wifi is excellent.

The owner took good care of us. We were extremely happy with this Riad, as it was close to everywhere within the Medina. Some nice restaurants in the area as well, a walking distance, actually. Breakfast was the best part we looked forward to every morning. The area was so quiet that we had the best sleep in years. Thank you Dar D’or!

Un mot: wow! Ce dar est à la hauteur de sa réputation! Service et accueil incomparables. Le propriétaire et sa famille sont d'une gentillesse inégalé et vous receverons comme des rois. Royalty Treatment
Owner was awesome, took me in his own personal car to an authentic Moroccan restaurant since I did not know my way around. Room was clean and so quiet. The free breakfast setting and service was a royalty treatment. Will definitely stay in this hotel my next trip to Fes.

Do Yourself a Favor and STAY HERE!
An absolutely fantastic place to stay! I travel constantly for work, and have rarely encountered a more warm and helpful staff than those at Dar D'Or. The details here are thoughtful, the rooms incredibly comfortable, and Namir and his family are warm and helpful. Beyond coordinating transportation and guides, when my husband didn't feel well Namir immediately accompanied us to a pharmacy and explained our situation in Arabic so we could get medication. The place is also easy to find, quiet, and a quick walk from the chaos of the medina. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Our stay at Dar D’or Fes was absolutely incredible. Communication prior to check-in was great – the owner Namir is very responsive to calls and messages. Upon arriving, we were blown away by the service provided to us. Dar D’or Fes is a family run business that goes out of their way to make you feel at home. Namir was always open to answer our questions about Fes and was very detailed when explaining what to look out for when hiring tour guides, fair prices for taxis, etc. He even arranged same day laundry service for us! Without a doubt, the highlight of our stay was the dinner, which was made upon request, a home-cooked meal prepared by Namir’s wife. This meal was by far the best food we had in Morocco, and among the best meals I’ve ever had. Do not miss out on the opportunity to eat dinner here at least once. If you are looking for a hotel/riad to stay in Fes, look no further!

Authentic, faultless boutique experience
We stated for 4 nights in a beautiful, quiet, well appointed and ever so tastefully decorated room. The bed was superb and shower the best in our travels in Morocco so far. The riad is very well located just inside the medina. We found the story of the 3 year renovation fascinating. The guesthouse even has top quality solar panels from Australia! Nahim and his family were wonderful hosts. They couldn't have been more attentive and helpful and made us feel special. His wife prepared an excellent generous breakfast. His daughter worked really hard looking after all the guests too. We’d highly recommend Dar D’Or for eitger a short or long stay in Fes.

Dar D'or Fes the best of Fes.
Dar D'or Fes has everything you might want from a hotel. It is in excellent location, walking distance to everything, it's squeaky clean, air conditioning blows winter cold air (if you need it), room is comfortably big, bathroom as well. And on top of it all, the couple who owns this place are the sweetest people you can meet. And they serve breakfast and cook dinner on order that far exceeds you expectation. They are 12 out of 10. Dar D'or Fes is surely the pride of hotel business in Morocco.

Perfect Riad Experience
Dar D'or is the perfect place to stay in Fes! The location is excellent, not in the Medina where you get lost, but right next to it with clear signs that lead you to the door, and very close to the Blue Gate. The room was exactly as pictured, breakfast was excellent, the rooftop perfect for sunset. The thing that sets it apart are the hosts who will make you feel so welcomed, and help with anything you need- they made me tea for sunset on the roof, printed our boarding tickets for our flight, and ordered us a taxi to the airport, just truly above and beyond expectations. Please don't miss this wonderful gem when in Fes!

Excellent location - a few minutes from the Blue Gate and Medina and in a very safe area. Namir and his wife Houria are very friendly, professional, knowledgeable/helpful to ensure guests make the most of their stay. A cookery lesson was excellent and tailor made to our requirements. Breakfast was lovely. We had one dinner which was good, but expensive. Our room was excellent, comfortable bed with soft pillows and fine linen. The room and bathroom were spotless, cleaned everyday and fresh towels provided. Everything in the room/bathroom worked: shower -hot, heating, bedside lights, TV and Wifi signal was excellent. The roof terrace also provided a lovely spot to relax in the sunshine.

This was an exceptional place to stay. This was our best hotel in morocco out of 8 other hotels which we stayed at. Namir was an excellent host. He truly defines exceptional customer service. Best place in Fes!
This place is amazing! Great location, very close to medina. It's better to stay outside the medina as taxis can take you straight to your hotel. Host was so nice! Felt like family there. Very good breakfast. Host helped us arrange car for forward traveling as well. This is my go to hotel in Fes. Rooms are very clean as well and the decor of the place is breadth taking. You won't regret your stay here.

We absolutely loved staying at Dar D’Or! Namir and his family were beyond welcoming and kind to us. Manor helped us book a great day tour around the city as well as our cab to the airport. Namir is on top of everything and made our stay in Fes so much more comfortable with his effort and organization. We opted to eat one night at the hotel for dinner and his wife’s cooking is fantastic! The breakfasts were delicious as well. The dar is incredibly clean and beautiful. The WiFi works well. The location is very close to the Médina and other sites of interest. I was really so pleased with our stay there and am very thankful to Namir and his wife for making our stay so wonderful! It is a pleasure to meet such thoughtful, professional, kind people. I would obviously stay here again and suggest it to any friends/family.

My wife and I totally enjoyed our recent four-day stay with Dar D'or. The place is clean and very beautiful--from the ground floor to the terrace overlooking the city. The open space area on the first floor is an incredible work of art--one could remain there all day enthralled in the surrounding beauty without venturing outside! Our bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were very hospitable and helpful, from our early arrival (at which they--though not required--provided breakfast and a comfortable place to hang out until our room was ready) until the very end. The wonderful owner/manager, Namir, arranged for our airport pick-up and return, an outstanding guided tour through the nearby souk, and Moroccan cooking lessons, all for a very reasonable prices. Wonderful experience!
The host and his wife made our stay very memorable. Namir was extremely solicitous and did everything to make us comfortable. His wife was the best cook we have encountered in Morocco. All the food she prepared for us was fabulous with fresh organic ingredients and delicious recipes. Highly recommend eating dinner at the hotel. The bellboy was extremely helpful! We cannot say enough about this hotel - we wouldn't stay anywhere else. It has our highest recommendation!!!

Simply incredible. Like we found a Fes family.
This little hotel is a gem. We felt like family from the minute we walked in the door. They do everything they can to help you in any way possible to make your trip perfect. Home cooked dinners are incredible. Book ahead!! We would like to say we were their favorite guests ever...but I have a feeling everyone leaves there thinking this exact thing. Need I say more?!

Stayed at Dar D'Or for three nights in October 2019. Beautifully decorated place. Namir and Hashim went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Had the pleasure of dining in one night to taste authentic Moroccan food cooked by Namir's wife. it was great. We booked tours through Namir. The guides and drivers were excellent. On the morning that we were leaving Namir packs up some fruit and bread and water; and a packet of home made Moroccan treats, which we took back with us for the family to enjoy. Great place. Dont't bother researching other riads in Fes. Stay at Dar D'Or. You will enjoy it.

My stay at Dar D’Dor was one of a kind. This is a family-operated guest house and staying there will make you feel special and right at home. The owner, Mr. Muhammad, and his wife run the place and will do their utter most to take care of their guests; they constantly check on you to make sure you are enjoying your stay. The level of hospitality and service is unparalleled here. The “dar” is gorgeous, very clean and quiet. Also, it is centrally located in the medina. If you ever visit Fes, you definitely should stay here.

Great riad!
We had a wonderful stay in this centrally located riad. The owner and his staff go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. We ate dinner there one night and it was one of our best meals we had during our entire trip!

Fantastic Riad, great location, exceptional hosts!
Namir, his family and staff are wonderful hosts! They were incredibly kind, and welcoming. We only had one day to spend in Fes and this riad was centrally located allowing us to tour the Blue Gate, medina, mosques, and the tanneries on foot. I would 100% recommend this riad-we had such a pleasant stay! Thanks again!!!

Fantastic Fes riad
Fantastic riad and stay. Extremely warm and friendly service, so helpful with advice and recommendations. The riad is exactly as pictured, super clean and inviting. The rooms was wonderfully decorated and maintained, the bed was so comfortable I could have stayed in it forever. Would absolutely recommend.
