Mr Ariel (or Don Daniel) is super friendly willing to make us feel at home. The place is not fancy but very cozy. We'll be back for sure soon

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was one of the highlights of our time in Panama. Ariel was so friendly; he made us feel like family. He’s also a true musician. After hiking, we very much enjoyed our evenings talking and playing music together. He gave us bikes to ride and drove us around town. We also enjoyed spending time with musica and gato (his friendly dog and cat). We spent some time lounging on the hammocks enjoying the breeze as my wife read one of the many books outside. The room was as shown in the picture, basic but clean. If you are looking to stay at a unique place with a host who is authentically hospitable, listen to (jam with) a great musician, and want to learn about life in Panama, I highly recommend La Casita De Don Daniel.

Nice but not perfect
The location and property is great with really friendly and attentive staff. I wish I had nothing but positive comments to leave but there we're a couple of issue. The first is sort of minor, they had some really silly rules. No coolers allowed, I didn't even have a cooler but I never heard of a hotel prohibiting coolers. The second, no shoes inside the room. Since when does a hotel tell me I can't wear shoes into the room? As for my main issue, I left with countless insect bites after sleeping in one of the rooms. I cannot tell if they are mosquitoes or bed bugs but my legs and arms are covered with them.

Friendly hosts and convenient location.
The hosts are wonderful! The property is set on a lovely lot with a creek running through the back. It is quite rustic, but comfortable. If you are looking for friendly low cost accommodation this place is great, if you are looking for somewhere that is fancy, this is definitely not the place for you.

Great hostel to stay at with beautiful relaxing areas with hammocks near a creek. Ariel and Jeannie were very nice hosts and made us feel comfortable at all times. They gave recommendations on what to eat and where to go. They even gave us rides a few times. They were welcoming and we were able to listen and join in some of their music and playing of instruments. I even got a massage and it can put you to sleep after a long day. The hike for la india dormida was only a couple minutes from here. Highly recommend

Encuentro con la vida
Una casa en plena naturaleza donde se funde lo onírico con la realidad,, el anfitrión, Ariel ofrece lo mejor de sí para que te encuentres cómodo,,, lo consigue,, y el lugar te atrapa,, si te gusta la naturaleza,, este es tu sitio,, no lo dudes. Music(su linda perrita) pone el toque final

Nuestra estadía en La Casita de Don Daniel fue verdaderamente placentero por la atención de Don Ariel, el ambiente de árboles, el riachuelo, las hamacas bajo los árboles, la posibilidad de preparar comidas caseras hicieron de nuestra estadía algo especial. Ya estamos planeando una segunda visita.

Wat een geweldig lieve mensen zijn Daniel en zijn vrouw. Zo gastvrij en behulpzaam, een warm welkom en een warm vertrek! Je loopt zo de prachtige natuur in en we konden fietsen lenen om de omgeving en het dorp te verkennen.

Unser gebuchtes Zimmer stand an der Unterkunft nicht zur Verfügung. Alternativ wurde uns ein Zelt angeboten. Laut dem Besitzer war es ein Fehler von Expedia. Wir haben dort nicht übernachtet.
