"Check in was efficient and pleasant. The room was clean and the air conditioner cooled everything down quickly. The walls are pretty thin and if the neighbors are loud you will hear them. The restaurant across the highway was pretty good, but if you’re walking, be careful making your way across! Make note that the motel is not in Bridgeport but 5 miles away."

"Everything about the property is excellent. In addition to the conventional ròoms available for booking, a KOA campground is part of the overall operation. Be aware that your arrival time must be conveyed to ensure someone is available to receive you upon arrival. Also, be aware that some cell phone carriers do not cover the immediate spot. T-Mobile could not be used. Fortunately, we had another phone with a different carrier and were OK. WI-FI IS VERY GOOD. STAFF COULD BE MORE CONGENIAL."

"Booked an accessible room for wheelchair. I was called the morning of checkin and told we couldn't have it because the lock was broken. I asked if they could call someone to fix it and was told no, because they were getting ready to change all the locks anyway. It was a busy weekend because of a concert (which we had tickets for) and no other rooms were available. We were offered a regular non-accessible room with no other compensations. We stayed because there was literally no other room...

"Unique, charming, historic room that had been upgraded with wifi. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. However, my husband and I did not like the split-level floor layout of our room. It made it a little treacherous to remember to step up from the bed and then to step up again to the bathroom. And, then to step back down. We were so concerned about tripping we had to keep a couple of lights on. As such we found it difficult to get a good night's rest."

"Clean rooms no kid friendly activities. When we maid reservation it showed a pool, but it was filled in with dirt. So disappointing! Also no easy access to the lake."

"Motel check-in occurs at the CVI casino two block away. I saw no staff on site at the motor Lodge. We were replaced in a second story room. There are no elevators. While the room was clean enough, it clearly showed significant signs of wear and tear that had not been addressed. The door to our room was damaged and required some force to get open and closed. Only one of the key cards we were provided worked on the door and eventually, the other one stopped working as well. This venue needs to put...

"Delightful and funky. Spa robes were ready at the foot of the bed, the fire warmed the room, there was no sink in the bathroom, and the kitchen outlet was directly over the quality Italian range. Desolation Hotel is isolated at the end of Hope Valley, which was an essential part of the Emmigrant Trail. The "hotel" is a collection of comfortable cabins hidden in the trees above the restaurant/lobby & outdoor bar & dining area. It is an ideal location for those who like hiking or trout fishing."
