"Very modern hotel with all the expected facilities. Breakfast is good but expensive- booking the night before will save you 5CHF per person. The room was good but not exceptional but met all our requirements. The hotel is located an easy 15 minute tram ride from the centre of Zurich (No 2 tram). Overall a comfortable three night stay."

"The staff were great and very helpful. The hotel carpet was very dirty though and they do not give slippers, luckily i had my own so i didn't have to step on the carpet at all. They also did not come and clean my room during the day? They have housekeeping so not sure why they didn't. Everything else was good. Tram is a 2 min walk and it's easy to get to the city centre from the hotel. "

"This is a basic hotel close to Zurich. This is also an automated check in hotel, so there is no hotel staff on site to help you, and you will be checking in with a machine (like an ATM) that will dispense your hotel keys. "This so-called Hotel was shut, locked, when we arrived in the evening of our booking. The “Emergency” telephone, advertised in large font outside the entrance, was nothing but an automated answer phone. No use at all. After one hour we gave up and set off in search of an alternative. We have still (2 days later) received no apology and no reply to e-mails. In short, this place is a disgrace."

"It was due to the other positive reviews that I found this Allegra Hotel. The hotel is nice, clean, affordable and conveniently close to the train station to go to Zurich, to the Lindt Home of Chocolate! The bus is a 3 min walk from the hotel and a 15 min ride to the airport. The staff is very helpful and personable, especially Noelle, Florenza and Manuela. The room is nice, clean and spacious, and the bed very comfortable. Kettle in our room for instant coffee or tea, there is also an expresso machine down in the lobby which is a welcome addition! We had delicious pizzas at Giadiono within waking distance of the hotel. Overall we really enjoyed our 2 nights at Allegra Lodge and highly recommend this place."
