"Excellent!"

" We have stayed here before and we’re looking forward to our stay for the evening. When we arrived we were not informed that the hotel was under renovation. The pool and tiki bar were shut down . We did spend a few hours at the beach and they had music in the hotel lounge that evening which was nice . We were looking forward to pool time , I wish we had been made aware of the construction. I suggest anyone booking in the near future check in on the process of this . They are still charging...

"The TV in our room never worked properly. I told the front desk the first day and asked again. No one ever came to check the TV. It was out of focus. Also, the site advertised free breakfast and a pool; there was no breakfast at all… not even coffee in lobby and the pool was drained. The staff did not offer alternatives to breakfast even though there was a place attached to one part of the hotel. I thought it was closed. My room was clean but the stairs and outside was not swept and sloppy....

"We were so pleased with our stay at the Comfort Inn in Downtown Charleston. The room was upgraded and had all the amenities, bed was comfortable, shower was strong, and towels were soft. These are not always the case in more economical hotels. The breakfast was very good as well. Public transportation to the center of Charleston was easy to navigate. "

"Hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel in the last few years, and I made a return stay due to the staff and the location of the hotel. The rooms need a lot of work (many scuffed up doorways, missing paint, dust around electrical outlets, dirty windows, etc) but I had a comfortable stay overall and would consider staying again. "

"Loved the oceanfront view with balcony. Nice complimentary amenities such as multiple pools, hot tubs and dvd rentals. Friendly service and nice spacious room. "

"The property and it's staff were great. Our room however was very loud. We were right behind the elevator, which we heard every time it went up/down. The room was on floor 2, so we were able to hear a lot of road noise, mainly motorcycles at night. And we were just above the dumpster so we heard the trash truck every morning. I would stay again, but I would request a room on a higher floor and away from the elevator."
