"CLOSE TO CRUISE PORT: RAVENNA I don't think a lot of people realize how close this is to Ravenna ship port. We walked it. It didn't take long at all. The cabs in this area are ridiculus in price $30 to $80 to go to cruise port for a 5 to 15 minute drive. When you walk from this hotel it will cost you a $1 per peson to ride the ferry across and then embark on your cruise! The hotel isn't fancy. The buffet breakfast included was nice. "The hotel was new and clean. There was ample parking. The immediate area is scarce of anything except pizzerias. The staff here were excellent and very understanding of my language barrier. Excellent vineyard "Paradiso" short distance away."

"This is a lovely inn, situated right in the centre of Ravenna. It is within walking distance to most of the major mosaics sites and is also close to Dante’s tomb. The room is itself was grand, with high wood-beamed ceilings, a stunning hand-blown glass chandelier, and restored 14th-century frescoes on the walls. The included breakfast was good and the staff were wonderful, very helpful and very professional. "

"The good, bad and the beautiful: Good - very close to the market and excellent dining. The neighborhood is lovely and the ancient church grounds nearby are stunning. Bad - walls very thin. Neighbors came in around 3:30am and it sounded like they were in the room. Neighbors across the hall left at 7am and same experience. Beautiful - the staff, specifically Miguel, were attentive, helpful and generally outstanding! They allowed us to store our bags, helped us make ground transportation and gave us ideas and tourist info. Wonderful stay! "
