Cullera

Travel Guide
Cullera
Be amazed by the charm of this pretty town located on the Costa del Azahar, surrounded by beautiful natural surroundings offered by the Mediterranean sea, the mouth of the River Júcar and the Sierra de los Zorros mountain range.

Treat yourself to a wonderful holiday in Cullera and discover why this town has become one of the tourist destinations par excellence of the Valencian coast. Let the excellent beaches that characterise this coastline fascinate you, and take in the amazing wealth of ecosystems. To find out more, go to Faro beach, the perfect place to try your hand at scuba diving. And if that’s not enough, there are over 10 miles of beaches and cliffs waiting to be explored, as well as several freshwater lagoons, such as l’Estany Gran.

If you’re looking for more reasons to find a package holiday in Cullera, the beauty of its artistic heritage, will win you over in a heartbeat. In the historic old town alone, Barri de la Vila, you’re sure to enjoy a visit to one of the first public schools in the country, Casa de la Enseñanza, or a trip to the Cullera town market. Continue along through the Barri del Pou district and you’ll fall instantly for the Arabesque charm of its streets. From here, head over to visit the Torre de la Reina Mora, a tower built in the 16th century to defend the city from pirates, and the emblematic medieval castle of Cullera, which dates back to the 13th century. However, if it’s breathtaking views of the coastline you’re looking for, there’s nothing like a trip to the Canet d’En Berenguer lighthouse.

Of course, you mustn’t leave without having tried the traditional rice dishes that are the town’s speciality. Get a move on and start planning your next getaway to Cullera! It is well connected with the rest of the Spanish mainland, so you can get there by bus and train once you’ve landed at Valencia airport, only 25 miles away. That’s why finding cheap trips to Cullera couldn’t be easier. If you prefer, you can rent a car and go explore the rest of the nearby towns, such as Gandia or Torrent.
