We were among the first guests to stay at this brand new hotel as we arrived on its opening day. That being said, parts of the hotel were not yet completed, there was still some construction going on, so we didn't get the full experience, but the staff certainly did their best to make our stay extremely memorable.
The hotel has a beautiful tucked away setting on the side of the Ping River. It is not in the hottest parts of town which makes it a nice, quiet sanctuary, but it is quite easy and convenient to get anywhere.
The Michelin Star restaurant Oxygen was delightful. Of course, the food was excellent but it is really the staff that make it worth it. Dinner in the best restaurant in the world can be ruined if the staff and service are disappointing. The team here was friendly and attentive and really made us feel welcome (despite having to work 16 hours a day).
Overall, the hotel itself is without any fault but the staff are what makes it really shine. From the welcome, to housekeeping, to the pool bar, to the concierge, bell team and front desk team, to the same Oxygen staff that greet you for breakfast in the morning and serve you dinner before bidding you good night, to Ewan, the hotel manager who asks you about your day every day, this team is the best in the world and I have never felt more welcome.
