"This resort was an oasis. The facility was immaculate and the staff were attentive and professional. The pool was at a perfect temperature. Their on-site dining was delicious; we recommend trying the Nepalese specials like Mustang Aloo. We arranged a tour to Lumbrini to visit the temples and it was a 40 minute drive with a very helpful guide. "

"The only good thing I can say is the wifi working somehow and we got a place to sleep for a night. We booked 2 rooms and both were dirty.Bed sheets were dirty, looks like its not been changed for a while, Upon notifying the receptation, they said - " We just changed it yesterday, you can't get cleaner then this, this is how it works here". We were surprise to hear that. Bad food. The only reason we booked here is for free parking,But next time, we rather park our car on the street. Bad choice,...

"We were made very welcome by the family at Horizon Homestay and recommend staying here. The food was excellent, all freshly prepared. The views over Tansen were beautiful - a great place to have breakfast in the sun. We were going to eat out on our second night, but the restaurant closed early as it was a Saturday night. Instead we were treated to delicious pasta, fresh vegetables and herbs. Thank you. Namaste."

"We stopped here to break up our drive from Pokhara to Lumbini. It was reasonably cool except for late afternoon -- hey, it's summer time. No A/C but a table top fan is provided. "Lets face it. Butwal is not a tourist destination or major foreign investment site. The hotel options are limited. At Darcy's you get a clean room, professional service, safe meals and privacy. Nothing is outstanding but the staff is friendly and everything is pleasant. The location means it is convenient but noisy. During our stay there was a communication issue between Darcy's and Orbitz. "We didn't get the room we ordered (and paid for). The unfortunately very meager confirmation from Expedia, which did not list the room type, was not helpful either. There was a hole where the minibar with refrigerator was supposed to be. Hot water only came when asked one day and not at all the next. Since there were very few guests in the hotel, there was no breakfast buffet. That's ok, but the menu offering was very meager. They also managed to ensure that the tea was only served after all the other breakfast had already been there. The question about booking a car for onward travel was very reluctant to be heard; there was no way to help. The neighboring hotel, where we were not guests, was very kind about this. All in all very disappointing and totally overpriced."
