"I had one more night in Split after my week of sailing around the Croatian islands. This is a charming boutique hotel in the heart of the Palace. Be prepared for a 1/4 mile walk or so rolling your luggage as cars are not allowed in the city center. And be sure to wear ‘proper shoes’ as the steps up to the hotel are centuries old and polished slick! Very clean, very nice and comfortable. Also be prepared for a lot of noise until the sidewalk cafes and bars close at midnight. "

"Oh my goodness I love this hotel!!! Jan, the manager, went out of his way to help us with EVERYTHING. The room was lovely. The bathroom had a great shower and L’Occitane products. The bathroom floor was heated. There was a vanity mirror so that my old eyes could see to do my makeup. I loved having a kettle in the room. There was also a stocked refrigerator. "Beautiful room very clean. While shutters are charming they do little to filter out lights from square below. These rooms need black out shades. That being said they also need better lighting inside room. It was very difficult to read at night. Bedside lamps were terrible and canned lights in ceiling gave off poor light. "

"Carlos was wonderful, responsive and made recommendations. Beautiful rooms, very comfy beds. Bath a bit small but we are a family of 4. Hot water runs out quicker than Carlos Said it would. Heated overnight and next morning barely provided one warm military shower. 64 stairs to the room we weren’t aware of. No elevator. Washer but lay out on rack to dry. Could use a large table top or dresser. Had to lay out cloths out on each couch. Do have a hanging rack. Takes AC a while to cool rooms....
