"Sipha and John are excellent hosts, Katoomba Manor is luxury away from the stress of the city. The total atmosphere is warm and relaxing and the hosts are gracious friendly and very accommodating. The cooked breakfast is delicious and filling. We have no problems recommending a weekend stay here and will return again in the near future. 5 stars......."

"The hotel staff were really lovely. Overall the hotel was a nice, quaint, clean boutique. Its old charm is captured well and with their fireplaces it would be comfortable year-round. We will certainly return! Easy parking and a nice little park across the road. We ate at the restaurant on our first night too, and it was a great Italian meal - seems like locals also go there to dine which is a good sign. We loved that the hotel supported the charity Two Good with its in-room bathroom amenities,...

"Lovely property very close to Leura shops, pretty gardens"

"Although not in the heart of Katoomba or Leura, the B&B was still close to where we wanted to go. Our Hostess was very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast (cold & hot) was ample and delicious."

"Rustic Spirit is a magical place to unplug and slip into the tranquility of this property. The privacy of the chalet, the spa and the outlook make this place something special. The daily breakfast that is included was amazing especially the Rosti! The hosts are lovely and we’re a great source of local information and the on-site massage was amazing This place is a must if you looking for a bush-mountain experience without all the hustle and bustle of Katoomba. "Quirky older building in great location - very close to centre of town and train station. A bit noisy and dated due to older building but otherwise very comfortable."

"Great property, facilities and supplies were very good. Our main issue was the bunk beds do not have much head height on the lower bunk, and we could not use the top bunks for the kids as the safety rails only just reached the top of the mattress and they would fall out if rolled in the night. Otherwise very happy with the cabin and hosts."

"The property is stunning and very quiet Just a short walk to the Wentworth falls walking tracks. Some of the rooms look into a valley and the bird life is amazing The property has kettle, toaster, fridge, stove and microwave. The lounges are quite small but the beds are super comfy. Will definitely be back when in the mountains "

"Staying at Madison’s Mountain Retreat was the perfect getaway and experience for my family. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the grounds. Anne’s warm welcome and knowledge about the animals was excellent and we all enjoyed feeding the Alpacas, Llamas & Goats. The indoor pool was great for a quick swim & we felt nice and cosy in the rustic cabin accommodation which had a lovely view of the alpacas and farm. We will definitely be back. "
