Pros: 1. Location: many bus stops nearby, and hotel is between 2 of the largest shopping centres in Beppu. So finding food is easy. There is also a nice restaurant opposite the hotel, Royal Host. Con’s 1. We wanted to check in at 2 pm but staff was insistent to only let us check in at 3pm. So we waited at the lobby. There was no traffic in the hotel in that one hour and at 2.45pm, we were then offered the room. Why so rigid? 2. The hotel was unmanned at night, which may pose a security issue. 3. No daily mineral water was provided. There was a notice saying that the tap water can be drunk. 4. No daily cleaning service. Even bath towels were not replaced. 5. Hotel is old and tired looking.

Hotel is great in all areas, except that most of the infrastructure is old. If you can compromise a little then this will be a great stay.

The walk from Beppu station isn't very long, if not destracted by their shopping area near station. The view of the bay was a site. The hospitality by the staff was amazing. Would def return when have a chance.

A Secret Gem in Beppu
If your looking for a unique experience in Beppu this is the place. You can get the traditional Japanese Inn style or Western style room and the Onsen is very big with a sauna on the male and female side, body wash shampoo and conditioner are available at each of the wash station. They will come to your room around 1800 to set up your futon in your Japanese style room it's a lovely surprise after being out n about all day.

Very nice view from the window and room is big enough even for 10 people. The only one thing is that smell is not good. Smells like a smoking room. Everything else is really nice and it's only 8min walk from Beppy station so you can save your time. Specially it is really convienent and close to the station when you coming back tired from the onsens. But when you are in Beppu and enjoying onsens and sideseeing you will not stay in the room for long hours so it might be okay for short stay

I booked the ‘run of house’ type of room for three persons and was so thrilled to be assigned with a harbour view room which is large enough to cater for five persons. The Yacht club and shopping centre YouMe is within few minutes of walking distance. Many nice restaurants around. Good location for family vacation. The breakfast is very simple but indeed still enough to get yourself ready for a morning start.

Clean hotel close to train station
Very pleasant. The onsen was relaxing. The dinner was delicious and plentiful. The breakfast buffet was good with plenty of choice. The hotel is a bit dated but clean. The staff were friendly and hospitable and spoke adequate English

Rooms with view of the sea
Requested for early check in but it was denied when we arrived shortly after noon. Requested for directions for lunch and was given a map of several restaurants which had opened for lunch. Rooms was large enough for 4 and for just the 3 of us, we had extra room which came ensuite, a plus for a ryokan. The public bath was quite old but the water temperature was excellent. It's 10 minutes walk to Beppu train station but since we came by bus, the bus stop is just 100M away and that brings you to and from Fukuoka International airport.

Hotel with ocean front view
Great hotel and staff. We arrived earlier than expected and dropped out bags off to arrive later with our bags already taken to our room and a friendly staff. Beautiful room with great views and a nice relaxing onsen on the sixth floor.

Good living experience with great sea view Hotel is not grand but they try their best in room cleaning, breakfast buffet & making you feel comfortable. Convenient to reach JR station with few minutes walking distance Hot spring tax if paid by individual user is better than calculated by lump sum
