The staff at Tara Place were fantastic at giving us directions and arranging transportation for us. The location is very convenient for the restaurants and shops on Khao San Road. The family room was perfect for our family of 6.

Tara Place was very clean with no pests in sight and the rooms get bottled water every day. The hotel building is well maintained too. That’s what I liked about it. The mattresses were awful, though; it was very hard to sleep in them. So much so, that we had to shorten our stay in Bangkok. The property is located walking distance from Khao San Road, which is nice and picturesque. It’s a two-star hotel, so that’s exactly what you’ll get. Heads-up, bring cash with you (Thai Baht) because the deposit for the room is in cash. They don’t take your credit card.

A quiet place for central Bangkok. A 10 minute walk to the fabulous Khaosan road market. Central location. We walked to the national museum and were a close taxi ride to Wat Pho and Wat Arun. Staff was polite and courteous. Not many amenities but tons of shops and restaurants in the immediate area. The free tuk tuk service is limited but a nice bonus. Convenient location. The room was basic but fine, especially for the price, about $35 usd per night. Lots of Eurpean visitors in the area.

Tara Place was a wonderful hotel to stay in for a few days in Bangkok. The entire hotel was clean, well-kept, and the staff was professional and courteous. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, from a/c to locking safe. There was a small window with a nice view (could see the top of Emerald Buddha Temple), and you could watch the sunrise from lovely shared balcony/terrace on the fourth floor. There are plenty of food options nearby the hotel, both restaurants and street food. Speaking of options nearby, Tara Place was easy to find and very centrally located for access to points of interest. We could walk to Khao San Road in minutes, and could have even walked to several temples with a bit of a longer trek. The hotel provides several free shuttle services daily, but we didn’t end up using them as we liked the walk. I have nothing but good things to say about this place!

Great service, friendly and helpful staff, the restaurant next to hotel had a nice breakfast, conveniently located, quiet, and clean. Would definitely stay again. Loved the little touches like snacks in lobby and tuk tuk to Grand Palace.

Great Hotel. Great Location.
For the price, this hotel would have been 5/5 across the board. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is central and perfect. The only thing is the blower on our AC didn’t work well and the room never cooled down enough. I also feel this was just our unit, #402. None of the other guests seemed to have an issue.

Overall great place. Would stay again
Pros: Clean, quiet, friendly staff, location, small extras (cheap treats in room and free snacking lobby), filling breakfast, free water bottles, shuttle to Grand Palace. Cons: firm bed, window from bedroom to bathroom kinda odd that made noisey use of bathroom and lots of light for midnight trips to the John.

Perfect hotel in Bangkok
No complaints about this hotel! Room was basic (we got standard double) but clean and enough space. The hotel location is great, we chose to stay here as we only had three days in bangkok and wanted to be near the main sites, Wat Pho and Grand Palace. The hotel has complimentary tuk tuk service to these sites. The front desk was very professional, friendly an on point. The hotel is not near the public transport MRT or BTS but taking a metered taxi or grab was realtively inexpensive. There was no breakfast but there was a coffee/tea station with free cakes and snacks. Walk a min or two down the street and you could grab some grilled meat on a stick for breakfast. Great stay at Tara Place!

This is a hotel just to sleep, no extra amenities, it is what you pay for it, very close to Kao San Road and Thanon Rd, walkable distance, as it is difficult for people to speak English in Thailand if you take a tuk tuk or taxi they won't know where the hotel is, just keep an hotel business card with the address with you all the time.

Hotel and location were ok (a bit far to walk to major sites). They advertise tuk-tuk service, but it's actually only to the Grand Palace and at fixed times. So a bit misleading and not very useful. I overlooked the conditions but for the price we were charged we expected breakfast to be included which was not the case.

The best part about Tara Place was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The hotel is well situated, near to everything, and well maintained. It is a bit worn but to be expected. Not the largest or most comfortable room but definitely very good for the price point. I would stay here again if I am in Bangkok.

Great hotel
The staff were friendly and willing to help us out with our requests. A breakfast voucher is given every morning to use in the cafe outside. The room was spotless. There was complementary water in the room everyday and snacks that you could take from the main foyer. Overall a good stay

A clean and modern hotel located near the Chao Phraya River and Khao San Road, we enjoyed our stay at Tara Place. The room was nice and the shower was hot, although we could hear everything going on in the corridor and adjacent and above rooms. Free tuk-tuk service to Grand Palace and Khao San rd was appreciated. The staff were friendly, always smiling and very helpful with our queries. We would definitely stay here again.

I honestly couldn’t say anything bad. Short walk to koh San road... helpful staff... they had the option for a late check out for 500 baht on day of check out, you could stay until five pm. I enjoyed my stay there a lot

It was basic, but met our needs. The room was cleaned every day, sheets and towels changed. Everything was in working order: AC, mini fridge. Hair drier, free bottled water, shampoo and shower gel were provided. The staff was very helpful, free tuk tuk rides were great.
