This hotel is right in the center of much of Amsterdam’s action. Most big sites are within walking distance. Rooms are small. All is dated. Bathrooms are “all in one,” so there is no separation between the shower and the toilet. Good if you want to be right in the middle of the action and are on a relatively limited budget. If you cannot do steep steps or have huge baggage, this hotel is probably not the one for you. Bakery just below the hotel is a wonderful place for breakfast!

Although the staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were very basic. A ventilation grille was missing in my bathroom door, and my cousin had a safe box lying around on her room floor. I could not get the TV to work. However, the bed was very comfortable, if rather basic, good wi-fi connection. No breakfast provided at this hotel. Being an old Dutch building it had very steep and narrow stairs, and no lift. This hotel would be unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues, or health problems.

Good place to stay for a short term trip. Its nothing special but the staff are all friendly and its very comfortable

We have stayed here in the past. The previous owners had young people bring up your bags to the room since there is no lift and the stairs are very steep and straight up. They no longer do that. No upgrades to the complex in years. No AC or fans.

Good for on a budget The staff was friendly and helpful and the location in the city was perfect. We had a view of a canal, but this also meant that we got the noise from the street. The rooms were a bit small and there was limited storage for our luggage in the closet.
