  • This tour doesn’t include entrance to Notre Dame Cathedral. If you would like to visit, you can make a free reservation on the Notre Dame website, or line up to enter on the day of your tour. Your guide will share tips for what to see when you go inside.
  • On certain occassions the crypt may be closed for construction or maintenance. In this case, you will still have the guided outdoor walking tour around Notre Dame with your guide.
  • This tour covers about 1 mile at a leisurely pace.
  • If you upgrade to include entry to Sainte-Chapelle & Conciergerie, you will need to reserve your entry time via the official Monuments Nacionaux website. Alternatively, you can ask our guides for help on arrival to your tour.
  • This tour isn’t accessible for wheelchairs.

Your guide will share local culture, from the rich legal history of the Palais de Justice to the bustling Marché aux Fleurs (flower market). Admire the stunning exterior of Sainte-Chapelle and the world-famous Notre Dame Cathedral as your guide points out the interesting details to notice in their Gothic architecture.

Following your tour, you will enjoy a self-guided visit to the Archeological Crypt below Notre Dame, where you’ll discover the foundations of the Île de la Cité, the original Paris.

Note: This tour does not include entrance to the cathedral. Group visits aren’t yet allowed, but you are welcome to enter on your own after the tour.

You can also upgrade to enter Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie. Sainte-Chapelle is a 13th-century church best known for its spectacular stained glass windows. The Conciergerie is a former palace and prison. It’s right across from Sainte-Chapelle and a perfect way to cap your Paris tour of Île de la Cité!
