This\u00a0spiralling\u00a0tube drops four storeys in an exhilarating ride that everyone will want to do again and again.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>4) Take a Free Singapore Tour <\/strong><strong>\u2013<\/strong><strong> T2 and T3<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>While most airports confine travellers in transit to secure areas, at Changi the Singapore Tourism Board whisks travellers away on short\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.changiairport.com\/at-changi\/leisure-indulgences\/free-singapore-tour\">sightseeing tours<\/a>\u00a0around this world-class city.<\/p>\n<p>There are a few conditions, however, to going on these free guided tours, which last for more than 2.5 hours. Firstly,<strong> you must be in transit for 5.5 hours or longer<\/strong> and secondly you must <strong>register at the tour desk an hour before the next tour departure<\/strong> time.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2494\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.my\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/haji-lane-singapore-5.jpg\" alt=\"haji-lane-singapore\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>By day, you are invited to enjoy the Heritage Tour, which transports you in air-conditioned comfort around the colonial and cultural districts of the city. Highlights include a photo op at\u00a0Merlion\u00a0Park on the waterfront and a 20-minute stop in the Malay district,\u00a0Kampong\u00a0Glam, where handmade carpets, textiles, silks and high-quality Asian goods are traded.<\/p>\n<p>From 5pm, the free City Lights Tour begins so visitors can glimpse Singapore\u2019s landmarks beautifully lit up after dark. In fact, there are two cinemas with comfortable seats where travellers can enjoy the latest blockbusters 24\/7. There\u2019s also an MTV\u00a0booth showing music videos on 50-inch plasma screens, so everyone\u2019shappy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>6) Enjoy a Swim <\/strong><strong>\u2013<\/strong><strong> T1<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There\u2019s nothing better than a cool dip and an invigorating\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.changiairport.com\/at-changi\/leisure-indulgences\/swimming-pool\">swim<\/a>\u00a0to tease out those knotted muscles and cramped legs before embarking on the next leg of your journey.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-3190 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.my\/stories\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Terminal-1-Transit-Rooftop-Swimming-Pool-2.jpg\" alt=\"Terminal-1-Transit-Rooftop-Swimming-Pool\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The beautiful pool at the Ambassador Transit Hotel even has a Jacuzzi and shower facilities for freshening up. Look up to see a mesmerising state-of-the-art kinetic sculpture that resembles a cloud of copper raindrops performing its own rain dance. Don\u2019t worry, there\u2019s no danger you\u2019ll get wet.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the airport there are ancient ceramics and modern Singaporean artworks on display. Free Wi-Fi areas allow you to catch up on emails or send a\u00a0selfie\u00a0to your friends \u2013 they won&#8217;t believe you\u2019re actually in an airport!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So next time you\u2019re booking a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.expedia.com.my\/Flights\">flight to Sydney<\/a>\u00a0or elsewhere with a layover, make sure you stop at Singapore\u2019s\u00a0Changi\u00a0Airport and have a vacation within a vacation.
