"This was an excellent stay! Anytime I’m going to New York, I will be staying here. The place is so clean, very secure (three locks on the door). The staff was consistently helpful. And the $10 coupon that they gave you for breakfast is quite substantive because the café has delicious food that will fit the budget. I had quiches that were $10, or sandwiches that were $10. Haven’t seen that kind of price in the upper west side in New York. I really enjoyed my stay."

"Our room was not clean upon arrival. Our sheets were dirty and there was mold in the ceiling in my shower. I was disappointed to say the least. The staff provided vouchers for breakfast one morning and I felt that more of a discount would have been appropriate. I am a Bonvoy member and didn’t find the stay the most pleasant. We spent a lot of time out of the room purposely."

"The staff at the Lucerne is always courteous, and when you need something, very prompt. I've stayed here several times and always enjoyed the hotel and the convenience of Nice Matin. However: it is time to update the flaws in the bathroom, caused by the mirror which needs to be shortened by 18" from the bottom. That improvement would make it possible to raise the sink (and the shelf attached to it) and replace the toilet, which is the main bone of contention. I'm on the short side, and I do not...

"Loved staying here for our NYC trip"

"Our vacation dates were June 4-7, 2026. The first room we received overlooked another building which blocked our “city view” and the toilet was dirty. We requested another room and were moved to a cleaner room with a better view. The rooms are smaller in comparison to hotel rooms in Louisiana for the same price. You are paying for the location and not the room size. The staff were professional except for one of the housekeepers. He argued with us when we requested more towels. The bar is nice...
