"upon arrival we was told we would have to pay to use the pool facilities. we ordered room service and was told we would have to wait 45 mins for it to arrive having us go down to reception as the phone in room was not working. The fire alarm went off at 23:50 waking us up which left is with a poor night's sleep. And there was no parking at the property or secure carpark nearby which resulted in us paying an extra £32 for overnight parking"

"The room had a great seafront view and was fine for a single nights stopover. The bathroom floor could have done with a bit of a mop and the mattress was very uncomfortable as it was sloping. Overall I was not unhappy with the hotel and would use it again"

"I'd always wanted to stay as I'd passed the hotel many times. First, parking -you have to pay. Underground is £25, overground £13.50. Not good. Receptionist helpfully told me to move car from underground to save money. Went to get light lunch on cafe/bar in foyer. Lots of staff milling about but took some time to be served and then wrong sandwich arrived. Also would have expected a decent sized tea pot instead of one that help one and a bit cups. Room was OK, comfy bed, but had to get...

Was ok but expected higher standard for both evening meal and breakfast. Was not expecting it to be a self service breakfast which we really don’t like Overall though we had a very enjoyable stay"

"Room was tidy and clean but bathroom door wouldn’t shut and shower door cannot be closed completely. Shower head was not secured properly.There was not enough towels or toilet rolls. The hotel didn’t supply fresh drinking water. Parking was very difficult to find a slot. Contact number given on website was never answered despite calls to update plan a week advance about arrival time but they replied by message on Expedia. Overall 2/5 rating.."

"A lovely property with tasteful decor. All the staff are very pleasant. Palm Court restaurant was really nice, and the gym and swim facilities were good. The Sunday carvery is excellent and complimentary products in the room a nice touch. Not a lot of seating in the bar if wanting drinks only, most of it is for eating. Similarly, car parking is at a premium with a wedding on. Changing rooms are quite small, and could do with a spin machine for drying trunks (many have these now)."
