"The hotel is in a good area if you want a less touristy part of the city. It is a historic hotel and it is well kept. There are plenty of coffee shops, eateries, stores and access to buses and metro. It is safe and generally quiet after dark. Some of the staff were not as friendly as others. The internet didn't work for the first two days of our stay and they sometimes rudely insisted that it was our iPhones even though our phones are relatively new. "Absolute perfect location to the life of Paris for my planned trip. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. You do have to turn your key into the front desk at every leave from the property and retrieve the key at every return but the staff is always available. The room is typical Paris size small but functional. Shower walls need to be cleaned from ceiling to floor but I made sure not to touch them.
