Pros...beautiful and history hotel, nice and many breakfast choices, comfortable bed and most important the shower is running strong and hot, nice travel agent office at grd flr, mcd/kfc/many bank very near Cons....can hear people talking on next room, room size is small, balcony view to see barb wire, deco & f&f are aging, not near to malioboro street...when u finish the malioboro st. Advice to take grab....coz its far to walk back to hotel, very few western restaurant around

Beautiful building, great location, fantastic food
We stayed here over Christmas, and the hotel was exactly what we were hoping. Beautiful building, a lovely comfortable room with good air-con, in a great location. The breakfast offering was particularly special - there were loads of options and food hygiene seemed good.

Unique historic gem in the heart of Jogja
Gorgeous historic hotel built in 1918. Helpful and nice staff, great food, excellent location, and beautiful architecture. Best place to stay in downtown Yogya.

Staff and food incredible. All the rest very poor for the value. We checked in and the room they gave us was not available and not cleaned. Had to wait until they found another room. We went there and there was no key. Finally like 40 min later we were in our room with key. The water was leaking. We had to wait a LOT for hot water, in the meantime all the water was wasted and the worst was the neighbor he talked a lot and you could hear absolutely everything. Need to improve SOON

Stunning hotel.
It was amazing stay at The Phoenix Hotel, the hotel is look amazing, our room was stunning with pool views, and also has balcony to chilled. The staff are so friendly. The Malioboro famous street are 15 min walk from the hotel. Plenty options for the breakfast. We would love to come back and perhaps stay a bit longer.

Impressive hotel.
We booked a pool facing room. We were on the 3rd floor. We really like this hotel. The building is very impressive and the decor is a tasteful colonial-oriental blend. The room was clean and spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool. Check-in/out process and staff were great.

Room is quite small and dated. Property is in need of renovation. Otherwise, staff is very professional & helpful. Buffet breakfast is extensive - there’s so many local dishes to choose from! However, there’s limited North American choices.

Dream with your eyes open at Pheonix
We asked for the front desk's recommendation for the best room. He put us overlooking the pool. It was great! We looooved it! So romantic. It was like out of the movies. (Room 240) A dream come true. And really friendly service. Thank you Hotel Pheonix!

This is a lovely place to stay. Service in the restaurant was incredibly slow and the breakfast buffet was very limited but the rooms are lovely and it is a pleasant walk or easy Grab ride into the main shopping area of Malioboro Street.

I was supposed to get a pool view but didn't get one. Don't care that much but still a false advertisement. Also, I sent message to the hotel through Expedia message but it was ignored. The place is historical and beautiful, but everything is old. My toilet kept flushing when I entered the room, my shower was clogged and water filled up quickly, and main light switch didn't work so I needed to turn off each light by hand.

Excellent hotel I stayed in pool view room Much newer good wifi and comfortable bed Staff were very friendly indeed An old historical hotel so dont expect modern and fancy it is a charming hotel With old hotel smell and lovely china in cases Breakfast excellent buffet Only 37 rooms booked so hotel was quiet But its just lovely sitting on balcony Drinking coffee You feel like you are in an old 5 star hotel In Europe Pure history I will be returning soon 10 out of 10 People write needs updating No it doesent thats what makes a historical hotel Very nice

This Hotel have no Priority for the Guest. It takes more than hour to get parking space for my car. Parking staff and security doesn’t willing to help. Wont ever stay at this hotel in future.
