Our room was incredibly noisy, as if the staff break room or construction was above ours. The hotel staff insisted they had no idea what was going on and that the noise was not happening as we said. Right outside the front door of the hotel there were homeless people screaming and singing. Highly overpriced and limited menu Personally not a good experience will not return to this hotel.

A good overnight stay in Wellington central. Convenient location, great for the Airport Express and the city and wharf areas. Friendly staff, good breakfast and comfortable room and bed.

This is the second time I stayed at Double Tree. I am super impressed with the presentation of our room, and how clean it was. I stayed during the Public Holiday were there's almost no one in the city, so it's a really quiet night for us.

Experienced rudeness from Daniella the Senior Manager at the front desk. She would not honor the discount for the breakfast even though the night staff said it would be ok to decide in the morning. We arrived late and were exhausted to make the decision. The other front desk staff were extremely polite and helpful.

A fantastic hotel in the heart of the city - so convenient for parking, walking and catching the bus. The room was really peaceful, the blackout curtains amazing, and the bed and bedding were so comfortable - we both had our best sleep in years! Great in-room dining, a good gym (just needs another bike), excellent wifi, lovely decor, brilliant shower… The service was superb: warm and welcoming on arrival, and friendly and efficient on departure. We didn’t have an outlook from our room, (so no access to the wonderful Welly sunshine) but we got a great deal on the price through Expedia, which made the weekend incredibly good value. All up, a great stay!

We loved this hotel. It is an older building but has modern amenities and a very helpful staff. It was one of those hotels where it just feels nice to be there. There is a good convenience store right across the street and there are good restaurants within 5 minutes walk. We will use this hotel if we are back in Wellington.

This hotel is perfectly located in the central business district. Everything is right there and you really don't need a car. Restaurants and shops are on the same street or within a minute or two walk. The rooms are nice and the staff very friendly. My only complaint was the meal we had at the restaurant. I ordered the gnocchi and it was like soggy small pieces of bread. So just don't order that if you decide to have a dinner at the restaurant. The hotel itself and the location were great. The breakfasts were adequate. We would definitely stay there again.

A nice updated hotel with large rooms and good showers and beds. A bit hard to get to and parking, which is $35, is a bit of a hassle.But you’re right downtown with lots of places to eat walkable.

Check in was a breeze and the staff were fantastic. Gave clear instructions for parking. Our room was brilliant, spacious and loved the decor. The litte touches like the cookies on arrival, bottled water and peanut slab in the room were wonderful! Cant wait to book and stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were welcomed nicely and the checkin process was so quick. We were treated with yummiest cookies.❤️ The art deco building is gorgeous and our room was beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast had so many options, the staff were kind,lovely and helpful. At breakfast Chef Ashish checks on everything frequently and cooked delicious food. He made the yummiest Omlettes! Thank you Chef Ashish. ❤️❤️

Had a room on the second floor that had no view other than I could read the computer of the person working in the next building. If you stay request a room with a view. Otherwise dark and gloomy even on a sunny day.

I liked most of your service and the interiors with jazz music which is my favorite. But the occasional elevator break down was inconvenient. And at breakfast hoped there were the ingredient written next to the food and staffs should be aware of the food when they are asked of the food ingredients as my daughter has a peanut allergy. One of the menu, looking like asian style noodle included peanut but I wanted to make sure, so asked the staff and she returned from the kitchen saying there was no peanut, however it was peanut so just ignored that food. But later the chef came out said there was peanut inside of noodle. The staff working at the restaurant should know the knowledge of that day's food menu or written ingredients next to the food. Other than that, I love the location, interior, service, welcoming cookies which were so yummy and delicate. THANK YOU!

Unbeatable location in the Wellington CBD, across the street from the cable car and a short walk to waterfront and museums. The first floor restaurant served a nice breakfast and we also enjoyed their Happy Hour.

Staff were welcoming when we arrived just before 10 p.m. We were hungry but unfortunately everything was closed in the area. We were able to order from a short room service menu. Food was acceptable. Complimentary snacks and water in the room a nice surprise. For breakfast we ordered a la carte and food was excellent and reasonably priced. The room was spacious and very nice. The only real negative was being situated close to the housekeeping suite and I was awakened around 7 a.m. by their conversations. So if you are a light sleeper asked to be put in a room far away from that location.

Overall a wonderful stay to sum up our wellington trip. Staff was friendly and they provided us with 1 complimentary sparkling water and still water bottle, plus a chunky choc chip cookie per person. Reminded me of a small boutique hotel in Europe. Shower though, I think hot water is shared with another room and sometimes the strength and temperature altered. Breakfast was a bit hectic too, but it wasn’t that bad to be honest. Overall a pleasant stay. We stayed in the king bed suite
