Universal Studios is also one of the oldest working film studios anywhere in Hollywood. Take a tour and see real film and television programme making, giving visitors a real insight into the industry most associated with LA.

The star attraction here, though, isn’t the big names of Tinseltown. The array of adrenaline-inducing rides on offer rival those of any theme park anywhere in the world. Many of these attractions are inspired by popular television shows and cinematic productions from the Universal Studio itself. Take a bone shaking journey on the Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster, jump out of your skin on the Jurassic Park themed ride, or experience the state-of-the-art in modern cinematic effects in Shrek 4-D.

The Studio Tour is a particular highlight of Universal Studios. Board a tram and take a ride through many of Hollywood’s most recognisable settings. On the Studio Tour, you’ll see where some of Hollywood’s most famous films were first conceived, and cross paths with all of the earthquakes, floods, fires and special effects that your nerves can handle!

Coming face to face with a monster of the deep, Stephen Spielberg’s ‘Jaws’, is still a firm favourite with visitors. But you can experience an encounter with an even bigger beast, on the King Kong 360 3-D attraction. This truly spectacular and immersive ride was created by Academy Award winning director of the series, Peter Jackson. Try not to flinch as you find yourself pitched into the middle of a battle between the giant ape and a pack of hungry dinosaurs!
