The front desk staff talked to the mainland tourists with a strong tone of dislike and arrogance. Some of the resentments could be justified as mainland tourists are not known for being patient and courteous. However, the hotel staff should not paint everyone with the same brush as they are in the hospitality business.

Although the MTR is 15 minutes away but this would be our exercise. Other than that, very convenient double decker bus is available. walking distance to the market, stores, food, etc. will be back again.

2nd, called again 11:30pm because smell so strong, finally change me a room
3rd, the new room has smoking smell, then change to another room
4th, my key not working on the day afterward need go down reactive….

Panda hotel is located a convenient and safe location, however, the bathrooms in our room do need some upgrades and better cleaning. Moreover, the AC system is strong but it should have automatic temperature control so the system can monitor the room temperature properly. It was very cold when the AC is on constantly. What’s more, the mini fridge in our room doesn’t work so the food I put inside got spoiled. :((

The reception and the concierge staff are very friendly and helpful. Good room size but the washrooms are quite old and the fixtures are outdated or not working properly.

Rooms only cleaned by staff every two days so we need to reheat additional bathrooms supplies when they are out. Staff are friendly though

This is truly a wonderful hotel. My only frustration is with the idea of cleaning my room only every other day. It's also located ways out although it's on a main sbway line.

Property is a bit dated and we had AC issues but was not worth to complain.
Also, lot's of mainland China tourists. So, be prepared to be stared upon and heavily populated ares within the facilities. Also, certain guests have no respect for people that are asleep. Constant NOISE!

We arrived to visit our father who stays in hospital next door. Too many tour groups which impact service quality but the staff is good. The maintenance is ok but since the hotel caters to tour group, it is hard to maintain in good shape.

Very disappointment for our stay for this so called 4-star hotel. I would rate it 2-star at most. The late night receptionist was very rude. I was asking about potential room upgrade and he got impatient & impolite. Date time receptionists are a bit friendly. The hotel was old, dated and not clean. Some wall paper of hotel room hallway was peeled off. The room is not clean. Found hair on comforter. Bathroom wall old & dirty with dark spots. Water drain was rusty. The flush button of Toilet water sink was old & peeled. No power outlet for hair dryer in bathroom. AC was loud and no AC. Adjusted AC temperature to 14 celsius, no cold air but loud fan only. Requested to change room next day, new room is a bit better, AC worked but very loud, the room was dated. I would recommend to avoid this place if possible.

Cleaned room every other days but would give you clean towels if asked. Front desk staff were nice and efficient. Saw the signs they changed new facilities like new bathtub and sink and mirror in bathroom - but the numerous dirt spots on floor tiles irritated me every time I used the bathroom. The six nights I stayed there were religious functions going on in the hotel. At least one time a day there were long lines waiting for all six elevators before and after the functions for its participants to get to and back their rooms. Hotel provided staff to help but would ask me to walk around outside and came back in 15 min to use the elevators. They should spare one or two elevators for guests who were not part of the functions because it happened every day I stayed there - did not like it.
A lot of shopping and eating areas around the hotel but not a convenient locations for any MTR stations if you want to go to other parts of Hong Kong - about 15 min walk to Tsuen Wan/Tai Wo Hau/West rail line Tsuen Wan station - unless you know how to take the local buses. One highlight was there was a bus by the hotel to go to airport. Only 30 minutes and costed about HK$33.

Location is great! Shopping mall is downstairs, bus and MTR stations are close by. The hotel is bit old, the bathroom needs update. Overall it’s good one and I enjoyed the stay!

Room size is good, however toilet is old with musky smell.
The Panda is a reasonably good hotel but a few major thing’s disappoint ,The check in staff are rude , check rules are unreasonable , 3pm and out at 12 with no Lea way, if you early there is no where for you to rest .The hotel supposedly has a no smoking policy otherwise 1500 hk fine ,this is my second stay and both times the room resembled an ashtray and it smelled bad , so much so they put an air purifier into room.I know the Chinese smoke like crazy but it’s not unreasonable to expect a non smoking room esp as your site says it is.the hotel is well situated and not bad value but if you not a smoker stay away .
