ladr resort when you are desperate
The capsule hotel is a little far from Tokyo station. The check in guy was a little panicky as he was the only one working. The capsule inn Is comparable to a Motel Inn back in the states (which means super cheap and not the best cleaning standards) It smells like no one has flushed the toilet for days going up to the capsule women only floor. Showers were not women only but mixed gender. The restrooms had Japanese style toilets which are the ones you have to squat to use and not the luxiourious ones that wash your bum. The Capsules themselves looked very old and it was not just the vintage style that I thought they were going for. No AC but lots of fans that kept area cool. Also the bed had a few crawling friends with four legs. You receive a key for a locker next to where your capsule is located and receive pajamas, towels and other amenities are in the bathroom. It was a $30 night stay for me so you really get what you paid for which is cheap and a place to crash for one night.

The so call hotel is actually a dome. I tried other capsule hotel before but this one is really bad. The shower room is full of flies, the capsule is having lot of things broken. Perhaps it is a convenient location, people keep checking in after midnight that makes it difficult for a good sleep

Feedback on our recent stay...
The capsule itself was comfortable however it would have helped if the staff could communicate in English. The ability to access WiFi only in the lobby of this place was inconvenient.

Capsule Hotel was quite old with very old capsules. Strange smell throughout the rooms.

Worth the price
The staff are remarkably awkward, I mean, even considering the language barrier. I can speak a little bit of Japanese, but every word that came out of my mouth was as if I was from an alien planet to these people. It was so strange, especially since Tokyo is the most English-ish place I've been in Japan (I'm a university student in Osaka). Getting past the uncomfortable feel that the staff give you, the place is okay. The beds are really comfortable (though the top bunk is a huge physical task to get up into), and the facilities you need are there. The showers are... not the most appetizing, as a warning; the floors are pretty spongey, which is gross if you think about it too much. But you're there to sleep, not to have luxurious showers. All in all, if I need to spend a night in Tokyo for cheap, I'll probably be going here again.

Cheap but good. And great location.
I had a pleasant stay at First In Kyobashi. The boxes you sleep in was a fun experience, and you dont have any problems sleeping. Majority of people are japanese, and they are very quiet. Only real downside is that its closed from 10am to 5pm, so you cant check in, and you will be kicked out after 10am. So its not a good place if you plan on going out and sleep long hours :)

Worst night's sleep in all of Japan. Rooms were hot, beds were old and uncomfortable, and location is difficult to find although it is close to Tokyo station.
