Guess when you don’t have to pay for accommodation under Expedite’s rewards, the reception is not pleasant. On first stay, we were allocated a room facing the car park and road. It was noisy throughout the night. The room allocated to us was so shabby. No toiletries were given only a bottle of soap. Then we requested for a room away from the road as we will be staying for another night after back from Sipadan, the guy at the reception said he will try but the lady rebuked him. When we were back to stay another night, we were told that all rooms were full until the reception suggested that we paid a small sum. As it was a really small sum, we’re were allocated a room so so much better in condition with all toiletries provided for. However, the shower room were not cleaned properly in both our stays. The breakfast timing were from 7 to 10 am. The food provided were all cold even at 7 am. The second time we had breakfast at 8.15am, the food were all finished, with a few pieces of sausages, beans and a few slices of bread. We set there a while and no food was replenished, we walked out and had KFC nearby. Only good point is that it is near the UTC, a market place where you can find dried seafood, titbits etc. The prices were way cheaper than Singapore’s prices. The vendors will packed the stuff in boxes when requested and most of them are friendly.

Can have a bit of renovation.
The hotel is a bit old. You can tell that my room was a double twins and change to a queen bed room because on my bed head. There are light switches and power sockets below them. The water pressure in the shower not that strong and the shower soap holder almost fall off the wall.

Be aware of glass wall & glass door for bathroom
All good except the toilet with glass wall & glass door for bathroom & WC with curtain to divide from the room area are not practical & inconvenience to many tenants, even spouse.

Overall room cleanliness is alright, but the room has unpleasant sewerage odour from toilet. Luckily it only happens during i was about to check out the next door morning

Good location but lots to improve.
1) I was surprised when I arrive that my room is still ready (approx. 3pm) 2) upon checking into the room, there is no tower, toilet rolls and on a set of toothbrush (as I had mentioned in my booking there will 3 persons and that's the reason I booked a family room) 3) worst of all the liquid soap in the dispenser inside the bathroom, I think there have not change it for ages and it looks expired with stain inside. 4) the only good about this hotel is the location of the hotel. 5) surrounded with lots of local foods. 6) hope my next visit to Tawau, all the above comments will improve and upgrade.

Very comfortable hotel. Convenience to any where.
I accidentally book the wrong date on this hotel. I discover it when i reached there. Luckily the person in charge let me check in 1 day early (change date). I am very appreciate their help on this matter.

Hotel is acceptable if you have no another options
Hotel is located at the center of TAWAU. It's not good smell everywere in the hotel. The toilet systems are not working well. The breakfast is not bad but the dinning room is not very clean also.

Disappointing
I have requested non-smoking room on my booking. However, upon my arrival, they gave me smoking room. When I requested to change to a non-smoking room, they said it's fully book. I've asked them, shouldn't they have reserve my requested room for me since I have made the booking much earlier instead of giving the rooms to walk in guest. They smile and said it's based on availability. That's not how you should serve your customer or how its works in a hotel industry. You can always upgrade the customer room since it's the hotel mistake.

We chosen to stay here for 1 night as a transit back to KL from a wonderful diving adventure in Mabul and Sipadan Island. The hotel exceeded our expectation for its price; large room with large bathroom and most importantly fully functional aircond. Breakfast was also not bad could do with some improvement and it was hot in the dining room. Overall we were very comfortable during our short stay.

Its a good hotel with location in middle of town but the cleanliness of the room should be improved.the room sometimes smelly, human hair on the floor, cup & sauces are not clean with detergent but only water in the room, bedsheets cover and such do not smell good. Breakfast choice is limited and not replenish fast enough. Seats in the restaurant are limited ended up skipping hotel breakfast on second day.

A strategic located hotel.
Overall the location of the hotel is great,the 7-11 store is right opposite and mini market are just 5-10 mins walk away but this hotel doesn't have it own car park which mean if you drive,then you have to look for parking few streets away due to the whole street consist of 4 hotels that doesn't have car park,so you can imagine the streets will be fully parked by cars,truck or bus.

We booked a family room with 2 queen bed for 2 nights, but on our 1st night they put us in a room with 1 queen, 1 single & 1 extra bed, they moved us to a room with 2 queen bed after we complained. Parking is a big problem, we have problem getting a space to park even way after mid night as there are few other hotels on the same street.

last minute trip
we have no choice cos we book our room around 6.30pm that day. it's one of the 2 options available. we have choose this due to its strategic location. upon arrival at the hotel, the staff told us it was the last room and it's a smoking room. the staff was nice though. the room was very spacious and clean but the bed was quite small. luckily there isn't any bad smoke odour. breakfast buffet was included in the room rate, food was so so only.

Room really dirty, dusty, dirt, bed unclean ( skin ichy ), no shampoo, grey towel, lose door lock... Very naive reception girl with makeup who can’t handle room check-in at all, she can’t even recognize Expedia booking ( which we all speechless). Bad air.... air conditioner seems difficult to produce cool air. It is mostly unexpected to room like this, which even Semporna’s hotel room comes up more clean and normal. We’d spend a scary night. Thank you for the experience. I will try not need to come again.

Ok price for simple/old accomodation
Stayed there for a night. Hotel is quite dated with some 'old' smell and worn out interior. Staff was friendly and helpful and hotel is centrally located with some public parking space around the building. Definitely, don't go there for the breakfast - very lame. There are 1-2 nice coffee shops within walking distance. Pricewise I think you get what you pay... Rather cheap price but also rather simple accomodation.
