The Rovers Inn is aces in my books. Run by a pleasant and very friendly courteous couple. Who will go to great lengths to help you out in any way that they can. Case in point I accidentally locked my car and absent mindedly left the keys in the car. This was really early in the morning and they still managed to find a locksmith to get me out of a real jam. I am truly indebted to their hospitality. If you're in search of accomodation while in Cameron Highlands. I highly recommend Rovers. Excellent.

Great value. Really helpful staff for check in, suggestions for where and eat. Very honest management. Toilet/shower all in one spot a bit getting used to. No cleanup/makeup service between nights. Be prepared to rough it a bit.

Really enjoyed our stay here, it’s basic but exactly as described in the description and pictures. Beds are comfortable, showers hot plus a kettle and free water dispenser which is great. We didn’t come to CH to say in the room or watch TV so if you are looking for a friendly comfortable place to explore from this is it! Mark is a fantastic host and had some great tips and local knowledge for the area. Highly recommended!

Very well maintained and managed property. A short walk to main street, but isolated enough (and on a hill) to let you feel immersed in the countryside. My room had a balcony with a wonderful view of the adjacent cliffs (I think all the rooms have balconies? Given the location of the building, they would all have good views). And there was also a large table, perfect for preparing small meals and doing computer-based work - an unexpected luxury after weeks of making do with small pieces of furniture at other hotels. Occasionally it did get noisy in the hallways (there's nothing at all to absorb sound) but it was usually small kids being indulged by parents and I could live with that.

Great option in Tanah Rata!
This is home base when we visit Cameron Highlands. Clean, quiet, affordable accommodation just a short (uphill) walk from the main drag. The staff always have a smile and a kind word, and the rooms are simple yet immaculate. Look no further!

Guest House best Place to stay
The Guest House located at the end road, So its very peacefully without any noise. Its very nice place to stay and chill your mind. Also the receptionist staff its very friendly and helpful if you got any enquiries. The Guesthouse also located in the Middle on Tanah Rata district and You can walk for 3-5 minute.

Good n pleasing
It was so pleasing staying here. Convince to the mall n food centre. Due to heavy traffic we book a bike n it was just down the road. Easy n convince at all time. We even bough our own food n ate at the garden with the chilling air n quiet environment. The only thing we don't like was, the guest house was full house n filled by all family and children. They noise level was very noisy. And beside our room there was one guest who came for holiday but switch on alarm at 5am onwards. The alarm was kept on going for hours n disturb our holidays. It was so annoying. When you come for holidays why you need to switch on your alarm for hours? We also paying for the room. The guest should be considered with all neighbours. That is only thing we do not like about. Besides that if it's not full house you will have a good n pleasing holidays with a nice wake up in the morning.

We always remind guests specially who come in group to be aware of the noise that they may create during the stay, so others may not be distracted or disturbed specially sleep hours. Quiet Guesthouse on a Hill near Town
The Mentigi Guesthouse was exceptionally clean and well kept, from new and very clean linens to clean, newly painted walls, to a very clean bathroom and a very clean balcony. The staff were helpful. The environment was quiet. The only thing that I might advise travelers about is that it is up a fairly steep hill about a 5 minute walk from the main road. For anyone in decent shape, the hill will be no problem at all, but if you are planning to walk to and from restaurants/the main town area and have mobility issues, this might not be the best place for you. The road up to the guesthouse is also a bit dark at night, though the area still felt quite safe.

This property is located on a top of a small hill, with nearby forest, situated a bit isolated from the rest of Tanah Rata town area. These come with comfort in terms of cold temperatures and quiet sleep during the night.

Mentigi is a budget accommodation. Don't expect a hotel like experience from the staff or the amenities. The staff weren't the most polite ones or the cooperative ones. The room was spacious, the cleanliness was average. I can stay there again but will choose not to because of the staff's non cooperative behavior, which I experienced when I wanted to check in late.

Overall good value accommodation 5 minutes walk from town centre. Staff were friendly and helpful, with a few essentials including beer available at front desk. Lots of construction close by in January 2020 and expect this will continue for the year, with loud delivery of materials starting from 4am. Also close to Mosque so if possible request room facing away from Mosque if you prefer not to be woken for morning prayers. Bathroom is worse feature, very small toilet and shower combined area with electric on demand hot water system that barely heated the water, with bathroom then very wet to visit after shower. Mould starting to be visible despite new build as bathroom is always wet. In summary ok for a night or two and good value.
