Cheap basic hotel in convenient location
Basic hotel in a very central location. It's an old and dated hotel, furniture and sheets are old but clean. Bathroom is clean. For the price paid, can't really complain. Location is convenient for walking to the major tourist places downtown. Good if you want a cheap stay. A bugbear is there is no socket near the bed, so you can't charge and use phone in bed. No kettle provided but you can buy big bottled water for RM1 at the counter.

This was quite adequate for a 1-night stay to fill in a gap in my itinerary. It's spotlessly clean, and the rooms are huge, a welcome change from the designer hotels I'd been staying at the previous week. Bed was comfortable, aircon was almost too cold (you can't adjust), and the plumbing worked well. The decor is charmless, but at least it's simple, rather than ugly. Finally, the location is excellent, a few minutes walk from a bustling local dining and shopping area. My only complaint is that wifi didn't work at all. They said this was a temporary outage, but I'm not so sure - I didn't see a single router in the 3rd floor hallways. When you need to plan trips and make bookings, this becomes a deal breaker.

Wouldn’t recommend
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially to international travellers. Firstly, when my taxi driver was dropping me off, he explained that the area that the hotel was situated in was a Chinese drugs den and not safe at all. Secondly, the counter staff showed great surprise and delight in getting an international reservation - alarm bells began ringing. And when entering my room, I found the furniture was worn and dated and the bed unclean. The bathroom was also dirty and had dripping taps. For a supposed non-smoking room, the air also wreaked of cigarette smoke. Immediately checked out.

Good Enough
It’s a good enough hotel, quiet, comfortable on a reasonable price and oh and they have bath tub. Their soap is diluted and it’s dusty under the bed. Overall, it’s just fine •_•

TV & Air-cond do not have remote control. Lousy!!
Staff does not show welcome of our arrival. We reached hotel late and yet we were not welcome by the staff. There was a lot cockroach in the rooms too.

Less than basic.......
I wasn't expecting much as this is a budget place but I have to say I am quite disappointed.....The location is quite near to the makan places though. The hotel is near some pubs or bars with loud music going on at night. Couldn't quite sleep well. There was only 1 miserable power point, at the corner of the room & it was at an awkward location so good luck if you need to charge ur mobile or tablet. TV wasn't working at all. No drinking water was provided at all. N wifi wasn't working at all. Was traveling with a senior citizen and i think the staff could at least helped in opening or closing the glass door, if not carrying the luggage when they saw a senior citizen trying to lift the luggage. lots of mosquitoes in the room too!

Budget Hotel with comfortable room
Pros: Family Room was large and comfortable. Hot water for drinking was provided upon request. WiFi signal was strong in room. Shower heater was good.Good location near town but need to drive to nearby food outlets. Cons: A bit noisy when there was loud karaoke from nearby the hotel. Toilet/Bathroom needs ventilation fan to remove any bad odors from entering the room. Toilet floor gets wet after someone takes a shower. Limited TV channels.

1. Hot shower + towel + soap are provided 2. Spacious room 3. Car park is provided with security camera 4. Wi-Fi is fast but weak signal. 5. Electric Kettle is not provided in the rooms and hot water is provided at the counter. 6. Muslim Restaurant is available with a 5-minute journey away by car. If walking 10-15 minutes. 7. Obsolete equipment in the room such as a closet, chairs, tables. 8. There is only one unit of electric plug point is provided 9. Aircond cool and in good condition. 10. Refrigerator not is provided 11. There is a karaoke center in front of the hotel but did not disturb.

Right Location if you come by train.
I's about 15 minute walk from train station to the Hotel and is easily found. Walking to old town and all famous eating shops is also around 10 minute. Takes only 20 minute walk to the Ipoh bus terminal( Meden Kidd). Good for budget traveller.

Budget hotel that has aweful wifi
Hotel good for those on a budget - stayed 1 night. Staff were friendly but 3rd floor has poor WiFi and no router on that level - My room, 303 got errors constantly trying to connect...when I told the staff, they knew about the issue, laughed and tried to shrug the matter off.

Loads of room at a great price!
Great amount of space for the price. We had a very good stay and a 10 min walk from concubine street and some really hip areas! Definitely worth the money and would stay again.

Perfect place to stay in Ipoh
This is a very good hotel at a budget price well located within walking distance to both old and new towns, the river walk and the sunday markets in Memory Lane. The lady on the front desk during the day was very helpful and knowledgeable and showed excellent customer service. The rooms are spacious and well maintained and the cleaners do an excellent job at keeping the hotel extremely clean. We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend this hotel as a base to explore Ipoh.

Hotel with good location.
The hotel is a bit old but its rooms are nice, clean and big. Its location is close to most famous restaurants, train station, ipoh parade etc. The down side is the wifi can be slow sometimes and can be a bit noisy from the nearby karaoke but you can still sleeps fine.

The staffs are helpful. The room is spacious but the place is a bit quiet. The wifi speed is poor. There are not many plugs available so if possible, bring an extension. It will be better if fridge is provided. The location is decent as it is near to good restaurants and shops (within few minutes drive). The room condition is okay. Good for short stay.

Older/Quieter Location of Ipoh City Center
The hotel looks jaded and is in the quieter and older part of the Ipoh City Center. Own transport essential. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. Rooms are reasonable sizes and bathrooms okay. We paid more for the CNY peak period and as such our expectations were understandably. higher. Areas surrounding the hotel were deserted. But based on normal off peak periods, the rooms are fine for the prices charged. Rooms are clean, beds comfy but our air-cond leaked. Overall, we got what we paid for.

a spacious room, centrally located, helpful staff
very friendly staff know where to eat (lots of places to eat in this area), called a taxi when we needed, walking distance to historical old town, Ipoh train station, night market, medan kidd bus terminal. If you use the bus from medan kidd, they will drop you at in front of Public bank which is just 1min walk from this hotel(the bus ride is just 4-5min from medan kidd). stayed at delux twin room with a big window, our room is very clean, spacious, nice and new hot water shower, great wifi connection, with elevator. You can buy a big-sized bottled water for 1R at the front desk. If you want a basic and simple room, this is the perfect place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again in the near future!

Sehr sauberes, gut geführtes Hotel mit Aufzug, dessen Charme vergangener Tage wohl verloren ging. Die Altstadt einerseits und der Nachtmarkt andererseits sind in ca. 15 Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen. Nettes, hilfsbereites Personal.

In die Jahre gekommes Hotel. Nur für einen günstigen Kurzaufenthalt ok. Nachtpersonal unterhält sich rücksichtslos laut. Musste 2 Uhr nachts nach unten in den Eingangsbereich gehen und um Ruhe bitten.
