We stayed here for four nights in early December. Got a private room with a bunk bed. The hostel is surprisingly large, which brings some plusses and some minuses.
The room was typically small, but the beds were ok and the sheets were clean. There was a table for your things, and one chair. There was no AC, we left the window open and slept fine but it is probably worse as it gets hotter outside. There was a good fan in the room attached to the wall, but assuming all the rooms are set up the same, the fan blows on the person in the top bunk and not at all on the person on the bottom.
The kitchen is possibly the largest I've ever seen in a hostel. Lots of pans/dishes to use, there must have been 8 stations with burners and I think three microwaves, plus places to store food, and people were reasonably good at cleaning up after themselves.
The shared bathroom was ok (I can only speak to the men's room). There were a couple of toilets and five showers. There was very little room to move around so if someone was at a sink it was awkward getting by. Importantly though, the water was always hot and pressure was good. But given the size of the hostel, there were always others in there with you.
Biggest gripe was the wifi. It was good when it worked, but it would disconnect frequently, like every few minutes. It did better on our phones, but the laptops really struggled, even if we were just doing light browsing.
Overall it was a good hostel. The second floor is quieter.
