My experience overall was very pleasing! However, the room I booked and paid for online was unfortunately not up to standard. I booked a Junior Suite to celebrate and spoil my partner for their birthday. The absolute selling point for me and the whole reason I booked that room was the retracting glass doors separating the bathroom from the bedroom which allowed us to watch TV/movies while enjoying the spa bath and then secondly, the room rate worked with my budget. I was very excited to surprise my partner with this only to find on arriving to our room that one of the glass doors was completely unusable having broken away from the track sliding device and not able to be moved at all. I rang reception straight away who had a maintenance person at the room within 10mins.
The man was very polite and pleasant and understood immediately what was wrong. I asked if the hotel could possibly move the door just so we could see and watch the TV we would be happy with that but he explained it was too dangerous to even attempt. So I asked if we could be moved to another room with working glass doors. He said he would need to speak with his duty manager and returned within 5 minutes to advise us we had been assigned to a new, bigger suite. Wow!! Absolutely stunning room with superb views from every window! And the bathroom had a bigger spa bath with its own TV on the wall.
