My experience overall was very pleasing! However, the room I booked and paid for online was unfortunately not up to standard. I booked a Junior Suite to celebrate and spoil my partner for their birthday. The absolute selling point for me and the whole reason I booked that room was the retracting glass doors separating the bathroom from the bedroom which allowed us to watch TV/movies while enjoying the spa bath and then secondly, the room rate worked with my budget. I was very excited to surprise my partner with this only to find on arriving to our room that one of the glass doors was completely unusable having broken away from the track sliding device and not able to be moved at all. I rang reception straight away who had a maintenance person at the room within 10mins. The man was very polite and pleasant and understood immediately what was wrong. I asked if the hotel could possibly move the door just so we could see and watch the TV we would be happy with that but he explained it was too dangerous to even attempt. So I asked if we could be moved to another room with working glass doors. He said he would need to speak with his duty manager and returned within 5 minutes to advise us we had been assigned to a new, bigger suite. Wow!! Absolutely stunning room with superb views from every window! And the bathroom had a bigger spa bath with its own TV on the wall. Thank you Hilton Sydney, we appreciate your excellent customer care and service.

Well located for attractions, especially the museum for the Ramses 11 exhibition and good public transport options. In house Glass Brasseire good but not open Monday nights. Not many decent dining options close by. We did find Bambini in Elizabeth Street which was good. The concierge couldn't help with this. The hotel itself was very comfortable.

Staff was superb very helpful and friendly. Hotel is right in the middle of downtown with tons of shopping and good eats. Easy access to public transportation. The only negative, the amenity list shows laundry facilities and laundry service available. We stayed here between two extended cruises and being able to wash our clothes while at the hotel was extremely important. After checking in we found there were no laundry facilities available. They only offered laundry service. (Pay by the piece). We had to rent a car and drive to a laundromat.

The Hilton is a central, convenient and accessible to all of Sydney's major drawcards. A smooth operator. I loved the breakfast buffet which was great value, and the staff were always warm and attentive. I was disappointed with my television which had a problem with its reception/sound/connection. I reported this the first day and the attendant at reception said it would be fixed but it wasn't, so my viewing of morning and evening news was interrupted by poor quality viewing.

5 start hotel with a very nice room and fantastic breakfast. Location is great. The only negative is the pool and spa which is actually operated by a local gym. The sauna and steam room and locker room were dirty. Nevertheless, overall the hotel is very good.

This is an excellent place to stay in the Sydney CBD. I stayed 6 nights and had a grand time. Easy tram ride or walk to get to Circular Quay, botanical gardens, and art galleries. Close to Hyde Park for a daily morning stroll. Plenty of restaurants to choose a variety of meals.

Its always lovely a Hilton Stay but unfortunately this time after a flight from Hawaii-Auckland-Sydney we were shattered & looking forward to a sleep in. We were woken before 9am with drilling, hammering etc coming from the room above, it sounded like they were coming through the floor. We were very annoyed to be woken by this before 9am

Comfortable and convenient
Room is small but comfortable, perfect for one or two person. This hotel is ideal for short stay in the middle of the city, close to transport and shops.

Overall, underwhelmed with my stay at such a famous hotel. The location is great and rooms are also ok but the service is quite ordinary with several reminders required for anything you need in your room even for things that you expect at any hotel such as housekeeping.

We ended off with Room 3502 which was so loud due to the lifts going up and down, we called and expressed how loud it was, we were looked after straight away and moved which we were grateful. Ended up on Level 42 away from the lifts and had a great night here. Valet parking was great. The only things we were not keen on was the buffet breakfast. This was a 2/10. We will be back but will not chose the breakfast included.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Hilton Sydney. The hotel was ideally situated, being in the centre of the city, close to shopping and Hyde Park - excellent place for walking about. Great facilities, with in-hotel access to the gym, pool, sauna and steam rooms, as well as the wellness centre.

Although the overall service and the quality of the hotel was good, there were certainly a few incidents where we have been let down. The most ridiculous of them all was that on our third night of stay, the hotel decided to deduct $1,500 from my bank account, noting this was before check-out. Upon consulting with the receptionist whose reaction, she said and I quote, ‘oh that’s strange. But it’s still pending and once you have checked out, the funds will be returned to you’. The lack of professionalism and customer care the way this was handled amazed me! The attitude was more like ‘well, too bad, I didn’t do this, and you will get your money back anyway, lady, what else do you want?!’ What frustrates me is that my money has been taken without an explanation while I am still a staying guest! Shocking! FYI - I have not received a cent to date! Due to limited word count, I am only going to raise one other matter with a male receptionist regarding arranging the breakfast for the next day. Upon checking in, we have been advised to prebook the breakfast at reception for better rates. The male receptionist insisted on explaining that better rates only apply upon arrival and that they don’t take reservations for breakfast. Noting that we had arranged the breakfast this way for the previous 2 days without any issues. When I saw the same lady who helped us the day before, the male receptionist said and I quote ‘you will get the same information from her!’. Well, obviously not!

The room was booked through Wotif and I was lead to believe we were getting a great deal. The room was OK, the bathroom very small and the view from the lowest floor in the apartment dismal. Towel were threadbare and the wall paper was peeling off the walls. I suggest we got the cheapest room or maybe the room that is the hardest to sell. Ah well, once bitten. I deffinitly do my research next time.

Check in took over half an hour and no apology offered. Without notice given the pool was closed, the executive lounge closed for a function & the day spa closed for a function. We booked the hotel for the 5 star amenities- which were unavailable. The technology on the TV used for everything is really outdated & clunky. The room was clean, breakfast was good. Not what we were expecting from a 5 star hotel, not impressed.
