Very relaxing stay. The hotel is surrounded by nature which makes it ideal for a weekend escape from Jakarta! All the staff are fantastic. I will definitely go back!!

Old smelly hotel, like a haunted hotel.
Terrible hotel. Isolated and very old. Thinking that this is under the Accor Group and rated 4 stars I will be good hands. I was wrong. Don't be fool by this.

This hotel is old and dated. Roofs everywhere were leaking, the rooms were old, mouldy and in desperate need of repair. The breakfast buffet was very ordinary and unhygienic. Price was also very expensive for what was offered.

- The pool and gym are amazing. - The staff are very attentive, always smiling and willing to help. - Room service was acceptable. - The rooms and furniture are a bit old and outdated. - I had some issue with my room keys. However, staff helped me immediately. 2 out of 3 times were me not being very familiar with how the keys work in certain circumstances. Once there was a faulty key.

The location is quiet which is good, staff was friendly. Food was very standard. But the rooms are a bit run down, our room cupboard was broken below the sink, the fridge also leakes water on our last night. The Bogor Novotel is a magical escape from the crowds of Jakarta. Food is excellent, the buildings are traditional and gracious, the staff is caring and the gardens are glorious. Used to be good place, now rooms looks obviously old. Parking was hassle, there was no spot for a single car until the gate, had to drive around and wait almost 20 mins. I book for garden view room, once we arrived at 10pm they put us first floor, corner room at the back side of the right wing which was spooky, had to change 4 rooms until make sure we got the garden view but still end up in twin beds instead of king. All process took another hour come and go. Stuff was trying to help but they had no idea what was going on.

Hotel that has the Bali-feel
My wife and I stayed over at Novotel Bogor for two nights (29/4 to 1/5). We liked the environment there. Very peaceful, nice greenery, with some animals in the garden. Relaxing feel as though we were in Bali. The staff were helpful and polite. When we checked in, the tv in the room was not working well. The hotel staff did some trouble-shooting but still could not fix the problem. Hence, the staff changed the tv to a new set. Areas to improve: 1. Wide variety of buffet spread but too few vegetarian dishes. 2. Good to label vegetarian dishes to make it easy for vegetarians. 3. As there were limited vegan options, I ordered fried noodles with vegetables and it was way too salty. Hate to waste food but didn't have a choice as the fried noodles was inedible. 4. Room door was misaligned. Cannot be closed properly. Had to use force to slam shut the door. With the card key, we were unable to open the door a few times. Had to seek help from hotel staff. 5. Deposit box in the room was faulty.

Bad expirience
One of the worst stay in Novotel chain that I ever been. Service was really slow, cleanliness was questionable. Room phone is broken. Given smoking room even though requested non smoking in hotels.com. Overall was bad expirience. I would rather stay the hotel next door than this so called 4 stars hotel.

Pinching toilet seat
Quite nice hotel in the lobby, hallway but not the room, awful condition, first thing to check when you get into your room is whether the toilet seat is pinching toilet seat or not. Can’t believe they’re too cheap to replace the cracking toilet seat.

Nice hotel in Bogor
In general, it's probably fair to say that Bogor doesn't have the conveniences of Jakarta. This is a great hotel by Bogor standards but maybe not so great by international standards. Common areas are fine, but my room which was supposed to have been an upgrade from the standard room was generally run down, had an ant problem, low water pressure and the toilet area definitely needed renovation. The plus side was the golf course and lush garden area. Breathtakingly beautiful.

Almost everything was amazing
Grounds and buildings are absolutely uniquely beautiful and you could easily spend your whole holiday never leaving the site. Rooms are spacious and well appointed, just some general maintenance required for routine wear and tear. Air conditioning is not very cold. Room service takes forever to come - allow an hour. Fitness and pool staff - amazing. Spa staff - rude and very unprofessional

It's an old hotel with great green sorroundings
Again it's an old non renovated hotel. Please expect non Novotel city hotel rooms for this one. I was given rooms at 2nd floor therefore not much sunlight came to the room. The room has "typical old room" scent. The terrace is also not well maintained. The bedsheets start to has stain in some spot. The bathroom is okay with standard amenities. The staff are amazing. Very friendly and helping even I stayed on peak season. They remember how to keep the friendly standard above good. Breakfast has lots of varieties but so so in taste. View and the feelings outside the room is amazing

Quite location
It is nice old hotel.. remote area but it seems it more than 30 years old hotel that the room hasn't been renovate yet . But it environment is quite nice foe relaxing..

Great for family getaway
We went for a romantic getaway on the weekend. The place was great. We love the ambience, the ethnicity, and the room was quite big. Lil bit disappointed with the small pool, while they have some children pool. They have a lot of other activities like archery, horse riding, library, and small cinema.

Old need renovation
Java design which is good but this hotel needs urgent renovation especially the rooms and hallway . Again you pay for what you get . Swimming pool is a bit small and not enough rest chairs .

A good experience overall
Loved the lush green and quietness. However, hotel staff were not ready for the high season traffic. Check in took long hours and some supplies were out when needed, such as extra blankets and towels. The pool service area was closed at 5.30 PM so families could not continue to enjoy the pool.

Good for golfing in the nearby course. Good service, but the hotel is a bit worn out, at least the room I was in.
