Property needs lots of renovations. Our door couldn't decide if it was going for us or stay closed for us. Counters and sinks chipped, all the towels raggedy and has holes.

This motel's rooms are far nicer than the exterior of the property would lead you to believe. The rooms have been redone nicely and are clean... fridge and microwave too. The guy that checked me in was extremely friendly... I informed him that I had a dog with me and he didn't even charge me extra.

Can’t believe Wyndham keeps their name here!
Steer clear of this place! Had a hard time finding the hotel because the sign outside wasn’t lit up, making a night arrival difficult. Pictures are not like what you actually get! To start with, we were supposed to have a king bed, we got 2 queens. You could see light around the door, a good push and you’re in. NOT very secure at all! Floor felt sticky in spots. Beds were old and uncomfortable, although it appeared that the sheets were clean. Shower was obviously where a bathtub was ripped out and repaired with a horrible tile job. Shower nozzle only worked in one position and the way the shower floor was designed, flooded the bathroom each shower! I am taken aback that Wyndham has their brand associated with this place. We’ve stayed at Days Inns before, but none were as bad as this place.

The motel needs a complete update. Room was not cleaned very well, garbage cans not emptied, breakfast did not even have any hot items to chose from other than waffles.

The remodel of the room was good. It was comfortable. I liked the soap and shower dispensers. The low flow toilet was the worst. It barely flushed. Breakfast was bread or waffle and coffee.

The room was clean and and the bed comfortable, but several problems indicated neglected maintenance. The main problem was that the toilet would not flush!! The handle appeared to be disconnected from the mechanism. I looked under the tank lid, hoping to at least flush it manually, but it was a different type from my home and I could not get it to work. I eventually "flushed" it by pouring a couple of quarts of water into the bowl. Two other plumbing problems were the lack of drain stoppers in the sink and the tub. Finally, the noisy heating unit turned on and off every couple of minutes all night long.

Very much a dive, plus they were doing construction on the room next door that rattled the entire building. I was trying to work but couldn't hear myself think. Smells like it was dunked in bleach.

I left and stayed at another hotel in town. This was a motel (doors to outside) and had an occupied adjoining room. The area around the motel was very run down (looked very transient). I did not feel comfortable with my safety here.

Family trip to New Mexico Balloon Fest
Room was not what photos looked like beds was supposed to be two queen not full size standard. Smelled musky and bathroom was nasty, stains on the handicap seat and shower was not what was pictured and it was dirty and it flooded the whole bathroom when taking a shower no trash can!

Stay away from this motel
Do not recommend. Very overpriced for condition of the hotel. Felt liked we were staying at a super cheap motel that was half the price. Old and dilapidated. Mattress was nasty and fitted sheets did not fit. AC/Heat unit had a filthy filter. Toilet roll holder was broken and the seat was loose. Bathroom window was broken and would not lock. Only positives were the shower water pressure was excellent, the room was very roomy, and it had double sinks.

When making the reservation, I had no idea it was like a motel and not an actual hotel. The actual room was nice, put the air conditioner was old, the bathroom was awful! You could see water damage in the walls, there was a bathroom window that needed to be replaced. We did not enjoy this property at all!

There was small animal feces on the floor under the desk. The porcelain in the bathtub was all scratched up and looked like it was cleaned with a rake. One of the beds had, what appeared to be flying ants on the pillows. I would never recommend anyone stay here.

Horrible experience
The entire hotel was very rundown, in terrible condition. It was obvious the owners had overly delayed any and all maintenance and upkeep. I went to the bathroom at 4:00 am and discovered what I determined to be several hundred termites crawling all over the bathroom floor, bathtub and toilet. At that horrible site, I immediately dressed , loaded my car and hit the road. I find it incomprehensible that a national hotel chain could possibly allow such deplorable conditions at one of their hotels. It will be a cold day in hell that I will ever stay at a Wyndham hotel!!!!

The floors were very dirty. I asked the housekeeper for extra towels and he never brought them in. They didn’t clean our room at all the 4 days we were there.

The young woman who checked us in was very kind and extremely helpful. The room was comfortable and clean — except the floors. (We travel nearly every weekend & find that most motels do not mop the floors regularly.) The manager responded instantly to a problem with the lock on our door and made the repair within minutes. Even though the motel was fully booked with teenagers in town for a science fair, we were able to sleep undisturbed. A neighboring rooster announces the dawn, but that was a delight to us. Breakfast was standard, but the breakfast room was attended to better than most. We will stay here again when business brings us back to Socorro.
