Nice and Central
It was central to everything. Staff very positive and helpful. Has a great gym and spa. Didn't use the pool but it looked nice with lifeguard until 11pm! Executive lounge very nicely done with view and snacks were fresh and great. I got an upgrade too, although I had early check in. I did check in for a 6 night stay.

Shanghai Hilton Stay.
The Shanghai Hilton iis showing its age,but the location is great. We took the evening buffet, and it was very expensive, considering there was such a small selection of dishes on offer. I cannot fault any of the staff. They are all friendly, their spoken English is fantastic, and they go about their work in a very professional manner.

Nice hotel with good service!
I reached the hotel pretty early but I was not able to get an early check-in so the staff made some arrangement for me to shower at the gym and freshen up. Also, I am able to park my luggage at the concierge for the time being. The next day, I remember the room service lady reminded me to bring along a coat as the weather turns cold. Good service :) I like that the hotel is quite near the Jing'An metro station.

In the center of Shanghai
The hotel staff is very friendly. The room is spacious and clean. The hotel breakfast buffet is also very good. The only thing annoying me is that it's really hard to get a cab near the hotel..

Lovely hotel and location
The hotel location was wonderful, walking distance to the metro. The rooms were spacious and maid service was wonderful. They even picked up clothing and folded it while we were out :-)

The Hilton Shanghai is a perfectly acceptable hotel in a very convenient part of the city and the staff does its best to offer 5 star service. The big complaint with the hotel, and the reason I would question staying here again, is that their internet is practically useless. It disconnects constantly, making messenger services impossible to use effectively, and is so slow as to render all but the most basic internet services inoperable. Forget about keeping your files updated in the cloud and a large e-mail will keep your connection busy for the better part of a day. Granted the Hinton offers a premium service at a (higher) cost, but I still find it inexcusable for any major hotel, much less one that presumes to focus on business travelers, to offer such a key service at such a poor level.

Room is very clean. The shower kits (shampoo and conditioner) include PeterThomasRoth products. The staffs are very helpful. The breakfast buffet is great. The gym is very modern, The location of this hotel is golden.

I had a problem with my room and the management did all they could to fix the problem for me. They did an excellent job of dealing with the problem. The hotel needs some more attention and room renovation. Also the area directly around the hotel is not very nice.

Great location for business
I love Hilton Shanghai very much. However, I had horrible experiences to get cabs around this area even at hotel front. It'd be great if the hotel would have any alternative services.

Excellent location would definitely recommend
The overall experience of our stay is great. Greeted by some friendly front desk staff upon arrival, the room is spot clean with a view towards Jing an temple. Hotel facilities are in good condition. Location is great, a 8 min walk to metro line 2. Or just grab the taxi at the hotel front. Would definitely recommend.

Overall is fine, location is good, facility is good, breakfast is good, environment is good. Only problem may be is the front desk service staff, too eager to sell upgrade service to everyone who checkin, knowledge level of the hote, zero.

Great location but too late check-in
Great location! Cleaning lady was very sweet. Didn't like that the room wasn't ready even 3 pm, even though they explained Saturday people tend to check out late. We had little baby with us, so it's not nice to leave the big luggages in lobby and go out with my heavy important personal belongs in a hot day.

Great check-in, poor guest next door
Great check-in experience & service from the staff - thank you. However, my stay was ruined somewhat by a very noisy hotel guest in the room next door. Very loud music audible, in-room smoking was discernible, and noise only quietened after two calls to the operator as an SOS. If I had stayed an extra night, I am sure I would've been moved rooms / something more substantial would've been done, but it was an unpleasant experience that put a damper on my last morning at the hotel - I had to leave the building just to get away from the noise.

Generally it was fine until I realized the staff at Hilton Shanghai was ten times nicer to my Caucasian husband (I am Asian). It is annoying but again, it's pretty Chinese.

Long wait to check in and check out. Staff don't manage queue jumpers. Internet an extra and breakfast high cost for average food. Was initially charged twice then corrected. The hotel is looking it's age. I would rate this hotel at the bottom of my hotel experiences in Shanghai (6) of similar price / night. Location is good.

Convenient and clean
If taking the metro be prepared to walk. It's a short walk but you will be going up and down a few stairs and an overpass to get across the street to the hotel.

Charges for wifi
Nice luxury hotel, clean , decent size rooms. Internet , however, is not free and very expensive. Only hotel in Shanghai I have stayed in that still charges for wifi. Shameful ! Would only stay again if price is much lower than similar properties

Over all is good , good service response is quick for any request . Check in and check out is very efficient . No free wifi is the only disadvantage.
