Staffgreeted us at reception and told us there was no restaurant and only food available via room service (there is one we later found out). Property is run down, the sink tap wobbled so much I thought it might break off. Bathroom was yuck. Wifi super slow and breakfast included gives you one pancake cut into 1/4's. We paid for 7nights but checked out after 5 to go to another hotel

This property fit the purpose for my travel plans... I'm not one to sit in a room or use facilities.... I was on the first floor overlooking the pool, comfortable and clean ... a bit weathered but ok... Well priced! A bit out of the way but nothing a cheap Birbird couldn't cure! Would stay here again. Lovely staff, very helpful and happy to please.

Property was great for its price, the room wasn’t very well maintained with paint peeling of walls and doors, cracked mirror and stains on the lounge. But overall good for the price

The photo of the property looked so clean.and.new ,however it was nothing like the photo seem to have alot of noisy . Breakfast menu not great at all

Quiet, away from the busy areas but not too inaccessible. Breakfast is delivered to the room every morning, but you have to place the order the night before. Building is old and rustic, sheets & towels are clean. Pool is nice to look at, filthy to be in. Toilet has a bidet & water heater. The AC was working just fine.

Staff were amazing only downside was that the pictures in the booking websites are not of the same the hotel is very outdated the pool was not regularly cleaned there were still leaves and dead bugs floating in it .. the rooms were tidy but very outdated and mould in the bathroom.. the safety deposit box didn’t work and also the DVD player the Kitchenette has no pots pans or utensils and also there wasn’t even a kettle for boiling water.. definitely overpriced and please read the reviews before making a booking save yourself the money..

Terrible property. Very old and dilapidated- they are resurfacing however current shape is very bad and dirty. Beautiful staff. Breakfast was nothing special. Below average.

We hated everything and checked out 4 days early. The photos are misleading. The property is old and run down, the photos do not show this. The pool has to be shut because of the condition. No restaurant exists onsite

Photos are not what you get
My friend and I had booked this place for two nights. We only stayed one night and had to book another places due to the condition of the place itself. The photos that are provided is not what you get. Our room was mouldy, had bugs, smelt and didn’t have proper working facilities. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially while on holiday.

Avoid this hotel
The design of the hotel asks for a lot of maintenance. From the beginning there has been no maintenance. The room cannot be cleaned properly because of that. Bathroom should have been renovated four years ago. No investment at all. Towel old and stained. There is no management. Staff have no work instructions it seems, everyday is different. If you have a request you have to repeat it every day or it won't be done. No system, no logic. Breakfast is horrible. Portions minimal. The location of the hotel is rather remote. In the evening it's very dark, only a few street lights, and everywhere the sign "Aware of Bag snatchers". One doesn't feel safe. I often travel to Bali, other places in Indonesia and all of South East Asia. I stayed in many hotels, some cheaper than this one, but this was my worst experience ever in South East Asia. Book any other hotel, you will regret it if you stay here.

A nicely designed little apartment. Very clean but looks a bit tired. Good facilities in room. Pool nice. Misleading to say there is a restaurant. Breakfast served in bedroom and good choice. They will get food for you if you want it. Very different from saying there is a restaurant.

Great Service
All the staff at Astana was so helpful and nice. Our room was cleaned everyday, our breakfast came on time. For the price you pay it is definitely worth it, it is about a 10 min drive to Seminyak square but I enjoyed being away from the busy street. I would definitely stay there again on my next visit. Thank you for looking after us Astana staff

Shabby and not chic run down holiday hotel
We got a very good deal online to stay at this hotel in Seminyak. Its more than a 45min walk to the beach from it and no free hotel shuttle so its always a taxi fare to town. The room was spacious but run down and dirty and stained. No tea or coffee or mugs although we had a kettle. Just very basic. The towels and curtains and walls were dirty and stained and shabby. The bathroom also shabby and worn out. The bed not overly comfortable. The breakfasts were disgusting we ordered pineapple juice thinking it would be freshly squeezed juice it was a tropical fruit cordial. Dont get the breakfast. The pool was nice but without any shade and the rooms are packed in so tight like boxes one on top of the other so it is far from peaceful and was noisy. The mirror was falling apart in the bathroom and so were our patio chairs. The wifi did not work and when it did was slow and un reliable. The staff were nice and polite. No windows either to keep fresh air in the room there is a sliding glass door but you cant keepnit open at night or your room is not secure. The room safe worked and the air con was good.

In need of renovation.
We have previously stayed at this hotel on several occasions. However the hotel has not been revamped since being built and is now looking/feeling very tired and worn. This shows in the rooms, fittings, furniture, linen and crockery.

Very comfortable
From check in to check out our stay was great. Our 2 bedroom suite was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was very cool and welcoming and was on for when we arrived. Room service was great and convenient. Would definitely stay here again. Only if traveling with little ones and you have a balcony, be aware of how wide the rails are. My 2 year old could fit her head between the bars. And if her head fit then I figured the rest of her body could. So we kept the balcony door locked.

This place was pretty average, the people were nice although there was a bit of a language barrier. I'm the room, it was a nice area, minus the minimal cutlery. The kitchen was okay, don't go into the cupboard underneath the sink though unless you're fine with rat poop. Overall it was and alright stay, it'd be worth spending a bit extra on a better hotel though

Nothing like the pictures on the website!
One word... dirty! Very misleading photos! Room was nothing like what was pictured on the website... in bad shape, spring based mattress from prison cell, stains on everything and then stains upon those stains! Extremely disappointed. Would not recommend at all. We paid for 3 nights and left after the first. Staff were very kind though. Fortunately we didn't stay long enough to take any photos!

Relatively close to the busy area of Seminyak but room facilities are quite stained, like the cushion. Breakfast (room service only, no buffer offered) was really basic and choices were limited. their juice is not real juice, they use cordial. Other than this, a decent hotel with good staff and pool.

Not a relaxing stay!
This property has good potentials but a lot to improve to be competitive.. I stayed for a week at Astana Kunti Suite Apartment and I just had 1 night good sleep due to noise from neighbors, from the apartment above, next to me and from the guest at the pool, as the swimming pool is in common with all the other apartments and it was just in front of my door! Rules were obviously not respected such as opening and closing time of the pool, also jumping, screaming in the water (made reception aware) which made my stay sleepless...also one day on top of everything there was also a nex hotel's anniversary so celebrations with loud music and noises from very early in the morning with no notifications, and when I called reception to find out what was going on they just said there was nothing they could do!! Also internet connection was very poor, they have 3 wi.fi lines, none of them is good, very slow and it disconnect every 5 to 10minutes. Location is not ideal, it is about 45min walk from the beach and 15' from the centre unless you book a taxi every time, like they suggested or you have your own transportation. Bikes are also provided,but make sure you don't use it to go to the beach,because they can steal them or before it gets dark,as they don't have lights!!! Apart from that Staff are very polite and always smiling!!

Let me start off by saying Bali is the most cultural place you could possibly visit. This hotel is situated at a more quitter place and it's not far from sunset road, only 5 min drive to Burger King, Pizza Hut and the super market for those who are very picky :) its so cheap that you would definitely...nice, peaceful and cosy place to stay at..Hey,

Hotel was nice but rundown. On arrival we realised our twin rooms were doubles and the hotel wouldn't change them. The hotel was out of the way and we needed to get a taxi everywhere. Pool needed a good clean was grubby. Food was nice and not at all expensive. Most of the staff were friendly but overall I wouldn't stay here again

The hotel was not bad. It can use some improvements like: Better trained and equipped staff. Our group stayed in three rooms and all the sofas in the rooms were dusty. It hasn't been vacuumed in ages. The staff also don't have adequate supply of working clothes it seems as they smell. Perhaps they're not treated well, as some were just plain grumpy responding to requests. Better breakfast and better restaurant to eat them at. No dedicated non-smoking section so we were constantly breathing other people's cigarette smoke. The rooms were spacious but not well maintained. The pool was below average and the water condition was questionable. We can easily find a better option for the price, in Bali.

Nice hotel. Odd issues.
Got to the room thought it was lovely. Didn't realize I had a kitchen so ran out so I could make a home cooked meal. Assessing the cabinets I found a live roach in bottom cabinet which was uncool... but it's the tropics so ok... Told them about the roach and they didn't care so I asked for bug spray and a broom. They brought them but let me do the dirty work. The second the stove was on there was an influx of insects from the hallway, some closet next to each front door, not sure. Luckily I kept the bug spray so I sprayed down all the hinges and frames and the parade of insects stopped. The sliding door to the pool took 5 minutes of jostling to lock every time I opened it, so I stopped opening it. The pool was never cleaned of leaves and debris and it's everyone's backyard with little space and no privacy. Also, don't sing in the shower if you don't want to be heard outside, the showers have a open screen to the pool so we can hear you in there which I thought was funny, please sing something fun at least! It was also further off the main road than I was lead to believe, bring a flashlight if you plan to walk it at night. Only about 10 minutes so no big deal. Aside from those things I enjoyed my stay, staff was nice, HBO played bad movies in English, room was spacious. Wifi in room was pretty good. Shower was hot.

Comfy and Reasonable Hotel
The stay was great and the room was always clean when we are back in our room. It was big and comfy and it made you feel like your at home. The amenities was always fill. The only draw back is that there is always small bugs crawling around the kitchen stove if there is food so we always had to put the food in the microwave and the dirty silverware outside the door. The swimming pool is not big or wide enough to swim if there are more than 2 people but can hang out in the water and keep cool.

Great value for money!
We loved out stay at Astana Kunti! Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, wifi ok, pool was refreshing and in room safe good. This hotel is off the tourist trail so if you want experience the Bali suburbs this is the place to stay. Convenience store near by, great taxi drivers just down the road and plenty of places to eat near by. The room and facilities are a little dated but sheets and towels all nicely laundered! Would not hesitate in staying again!
