Beautiful short stay stop
Staff were excellent and very attentive. The room was lovely with enough space to move around, the bathroom was very nicely decorated and clean and the shower and bath were good. Breakfast was good and served quickly, along with our evening meal, the food was excellent.

Good location, nice hotel
Really nice hotel in a good location with good food options. Only downside was the Wi-Fi was weak and there was no signal, which made it hard to plan trips

Lovely stay !
Honestly the pictures of the rooms don’t do it justice. We had a lovely stay , clean and tidy. Staff are brilliant. Food was nice and the room had everything we needed. Couldn’t fault it.

Check in Quick & Easy, Staff were all very friendly & helpful. Food was excellent. Only minor complaint. We would have liked the window open at night but not possible as anyone walking past could just climb in. Windows on the ground floor/accessible areas could be changed to more secure windows.

The Rusland was a quaint motel in need of an update. The basin was cracked, the carpets were frayed, the curtains dragged on the floor and were starting to fray, and the restaurant prices seemed high but saying that the breakfasts were good the room was nice and parking was good it even had car charging point. Overall it was a nice place to stay. Unfortunately the view from our window was facing storage sheds or the washing line so not fantastic, the staff were nice and booking in was straight forward, they even sent an email a day beforehand for you to confirm your arrival. Good place to stay if you are touring for a couple of days.

The staff could not have been better they were brilliant. We had a lovely patio with a bistro garden set the food was excellent they are the pros. BUT I think it's the first place we stayed that only had a shower not a great problem but it gets worse the upstairs floorboards creaked and queaked and for reasons unknown to us the occupants seem to spend hours thudding backwards and forwards across the room once in the middle of the night. The bus service from the hotel was an added attraction but found the road was as busy as a motorway and was told the bus did not always like to stop as it was hard for it to pull out again. The thought of crossing that road on a return journey was a complete no no. We keep the volume of the TV low to respect others residents but weather being hot and the door and window open the roar of the traffic drowned out the TV. Shame we went to the Lake District for some peace and quiet

Would recommend with very few problems
The blonde lady (that was going to IKEA) was fantastic,lovely and chatty and helpful. Great food compliments to the chef great home made lasagne,prices are a bit steep though.The room was nice but a very busy and noisy road outside. Handy location for Windermere,the Lakeside & Hatherwaite railway and the fantastic Lakeland motor museum.

Friend’s birthday celebration
We had a brilliant stay at the hotel. From the minute we arrived the service was brilliant. Although they were advertising for staff, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were clean and comfortable.Including in the price of the stay was a full English breakfast, which was delicious. Every member of staff was helpful, and obliging. We had one hearty evening meal, fresh, hot and plentiful.

Room was big and clean just dated. Bathroom good size powerful shower! Room 19 is accessed at end of beer garden with patio area including table and chair. Could hear road noise and noise from rooms above. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Lots of parking.

The Rusland Pool Hotel
All the staff were welcoming, friendly & efficient on prior phone calls, at check in & during our stay. Our room was fresh & clean as was all restaurant rooms & bar. The hotel is beside the road but with window closed we were not disturbed & had a good nights sleep. We were spoilt for choice from the extensive evening meal menu, we enjoyed our meals & cooked English breakfast the next morning. If visiting the south Lakes I would recommend this hotel.

Stayed 3 nights in room 1 near kitchen, had to keep window closed at night as less than 50 ft from very noisy main road A590, food good, a very large menu. Would recommend that the carpet in room 1 was deep cleaned as it was grubby. Wifi and phone signal rubbish. No soya milk available or dairy free yogurts. Although the hotel displays a banner saying they are award winning for this !!!!!.

A Break in The Lakes
During our visit the Staff were Friendly and very helpful and the Food was excellent, the room was nice and very clean. We will not hesitate to recommend the Rusland to anyone if they visit the Area

Great place for stopover en route to Western Lakes
Very nice comfortable room and breakfast at this hotel on our way to Western Lakes. Room was great for 4 people . We didn't eat in the restaurant but spoke to several people who did and they were all very complimentary. I will definitely use again.
