This is it! Your search is over! This is the best hotel on the island. Book it early, because we met people who tried to book it four months in advance and couldn’t get a room. Even though there are some more expensive hotels on the island, they don’t compare to this one. This hotel has exceptional privacy where you can’t see your neighbor. All you see is the sea and lush greenery. The rooms are stunning with natural wood everywhere. The staff are incredible and will take care of you from pickup to drop off (just let them know your boat and its arrival and departure times in advance). This is comparable or even better than my experiences in over water bungalows and beachfront bungalows in French Polynesia, Maldives, and Fiji. World-class snorkeling in your backyard (and I recommend booking the snorkel tour which is fantastic). And ultimately, retiring back to an architecturally stunning masterpiece with beautiful touches (flowers as faucet valves, doors with wooden locks). The plunge pools are very well maintained unlike most resorts where I usually avoid them, here I used the plunge pool every day. Honestly this hotel is better than most five-star hotels as it has character, privacy, architectural interest, beautiful breakfasts, and a fantastic location (all the other hotels are crammed next door to one another and their patrons are all crowded on the beach…not fun). Tip: snorkeling is best just north of the large rock island in front of the hotel).

Beautiful cliff top villas on Sunrise Beach. Ours was secluded and at the top. Front is glass giving you a morning view of the sunrise from bed. The water is crystal clear and snorkeling equipment is on site. It feels like swimming in an aquarium and I visit Australia frequently. The restaurant is very good with a huge morning breakfast served in your room. We enjoyed our private plunge pool and stunning views from the veranda. I walked all three beaches and did not see a property as stunning!

This was a very nice property. I like that it felt secluded and it had an excellent view. I enjoyed my stay at this property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. I enjoyed my room very much. The air conditioner worked great as well and the view of the ocean was stunning. I do wish they had more towels in the room for shower. I hope to return to this hotel again in the future. It was a good property.

The view from the rooms is spectacular and the property has amazing views. The food at lunch and Dinner were ok but the views from the restaurant made the experience. Breakfast was a very poor standard. One of the worst I have experienced in any hotel in terms of quality and choice and we left it all and had to go somewhere else. Even on a small island the property is very remote and if the weather is bad you can feel trapped. The rooms need updating as few very old fashioned particularly the bathroom and they were full of mosquitoes. We decided to stay in koh Lipe an extra night but moved Hotels to somewhere on walking street. This was half the price but much cleaner, comfortable and much more enjoyable. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay at serendipity if they are going to Koh Lipe but I would go for a drink/lunch.

We like the service provided 5star if i can give but should improve the cleanliness especially at swimming pool area bcoz too much mud surrounding the pool. Everything else superb especially service and breakfast.

Privacy is the key here. Each villa is private from others. We had our own private pool. Be prepared for steps as it’s on a mountain, but breakfast is brought up to the room each morning and the room service was excellent.

Air conditioning capacity is lower than room(pool villa) size. If you can stay this villa with small capacity air conditioning then you can survive in shara desert.

The best holiday so far by a mile that we had. Fantastic and helpful staff. They offer great Veg food options. The best place to stay in Koh Lipe and the best beach also.

Very beautiful view but a lot of details to improve for their services. We were being billed for coffee/tea at breakfast (they suppose we should use the coffee machine which was broken and the tea pot in the room but nobody mentioned it at checkout. The snorkels and life jackets are stored at the restaurant which means every time you want to borrow them you have to climb up and down the stairs several times to get them and some of them are broken or you run out of the size. There were some eaten and rotten fruit found in the pool inside the villa. Overall it was a nice stay mainly for the view but for the price we paid there are much beautiful and well maintained hotels we have stayed before in Thailand with equally beautiful views.

The property is in a beautiful location with its own cove and excellent snorkeling right off of the beach. The room view is amazing and the restaurant food was excellent. We would love to go back again.

It was very nice viewing. And we could see coral from the beach near the hotel. We could go to walking street by bike taxi(50 THB per person ),so it was not so inconvenient. Stuff was very kinds.

Top spot on the Island
We are so glad we chose to stay in this place, the villas were gorgeous with amazing views and great location to the main hub and located above Sunrise beach which to us was our favourite beach on the island. The villas are surrounded by lush vegetation which made us feel like we were staying in a beautiful modern tree house. The villas were spacious (we stayed in one 2 different types) and private with stunning views, we felt the best on the island. The restaurant had a beautiful outlook and the food was delicious. The highlight of the stay was the lovely staff, who were all attentive, super efficient and very warm and friendly people. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay on Koh Lipe

I would totally recommend this hotel to friends and family. The staff members were so kind. The staff member returned an iPad to my friend who left it behind. They sent a staff member to bring it to us on the departure dock. They called us to inform us that our taxi was outside waiting for us when we called to get one to bring us to the walking street. The food at the hotel was really delicious. The views were incredible! The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. I could go on and on about how wonderful the staff, view and location was. Free snorkeling and kayaking was provided by the hotel too!

We got a room with superb panoramic view which worth staying in the room looking at the view doing nothing whole day. Totally a pleasant place to spend up to 2 days. They serve breakfast in the room, you can pick what/how you like a day before and they will send time you preferred. The food was even nicer than some of the cafes.

We stayed in villa no. 4. There was no water pressure in the shower and on 3rd day the pool filter broke down. We were woken up in middle of the nights by rats running around our room and chomping on our bags of food. Just glad the bed is covered by a thick mosquito nets. Location and food was good, although they were trying to overcharge us with additional bill which was not ours

Rooms are nice but lack of furniture. There are not many places to leave clothes or stuff. Service is so so. The beach does not have beach beds and it is not so clean.

A serene stay with great views at Koh Lipe
We were met by a representative from Serendipity at the barge outside Sunrise beach, then transported to the beach by longtail-boat. From there it was a motorcycle ride through "town" and up the hills to the Serendipity Resort. The check-in process went smoothly and all our luggage had already been transported to our room. We had opted for a villa with a private plunge pool, which was spacious with it's own lounge area with a small tv. The outside was also very spacious and private - there was a sitting area with a table and one sunbed. Great views of the ocean below from the balcony and the pool. For the breakfast there was plenty of options and it was delivered promptly to our room at the time requested. We also had dinner at the "On the Rocks"-restaurant which was very good. I'd suggest trying their tom yum goong. The hotel also have a private beach which is very beautiful and quiet at the times we visited, soft white sand and clear water. They also have a kayaks that you can borrow for free - as well as snorkling gear. There is a bit of a hike from / to the beach if you have a room towards the top of the resort, but if you're in reasonably good shape, shouldn't be a big issue. Also a bit of a hike to get to the walking street. Overall we were very pleased and would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Very cozy hotel beach. With nice coral nearby we enjoyed snorkeling off the shore. We tried a few restaurants in the island but we agreed that the hotel restaurant was the best so ended up eating here most of the time! The room was a bit too dark at night and the shower was a bit tricky to adjust for hot water.... Overall, very relaxing stay!

Stayed here for 6 nights to celebrate our 30 wedding anniversary. From the initial email correspondence through to our departure, Zai and the team worked diligently to ensure it was special. All queries were followed as well as a few special things. The hotel is on the hill so you must be mobile. The room was good with the showers being the only issue. The breakfast were also well done.
