    5/5 Excellent

Wonderful renovation of a Historic Building with loads of character. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

    4/5 Good

Sort out locks and check GF ingredients

Stayed in 2 different rooms due to the fact that I booked 2 nights separately (this is not a criticism). Both rooms were unique and very nice. Supplied toiletries, towels and bedding were excellent as was the choice of beverages including a “Nespresso” style machine. The staff were very good and the breakfast choice was excellent (the bacon was a little unusual). My colleague who is a coeliac (and did advise the server of this) did have an issue as they presented him with a sausage and queried the contents was told that they didn't know if it was GF or not. The only downside on the rooms were the weird locks that took forever to lock and unlock and the lack of a plug in the washbasin. These issues were raised with John but nothing appeared to have been done. It was shame that they let themselves down on those areas, but it was a good stay.

    2/5

Staff were very friendly and polite. Breakfast good. Room service very poor. Bins not emptied. Arrived back after a long day out to find bed unmade obviously no one had been in the room to do anything at all.
