The hotel is conveniently located to many places and activities in Phuket. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room attendants do a nice job. The rooftop pool is nice. The breakfast buffet with a custom omelette station was nice, good selections, lots of fresh fruits. What I didn’t like about my room was the balcony was useless, with only one chair crammed on it with the a/c condenser. It’s hot enough in Phuket, let alone sitting next to an active condenser. So the balcony was not useful at all. The TV had two remotes, and it seemed no matter what I did, I couldn’t watch TV. The shower diverter in the bathroom was non-functional, so you had both a rain head and a handheld spraying water at you. If you didn’t like the rain head, too bad. The undercounter shelf unit was either filthy, or so old it couldn’t be cleaned up anymore. Pieces of trim were broken off it. The a/c indoor unit made a constant clicking sound, not loud, but enough to bother me as I tried to fall asleep. Basically, the room was pretty dated and needs improving. Funny thing is (not really funny) I made the reservations for two rooms and one was up on the fifth floor, much nicer and a much better view than the smaller room I got on the second floor. We were supposed to get the same “superior” rooms. Go figure.
