I would NOT recommend Hotel Seagull. It looks like it should have been nice when it originally opened. But not anymore. Everything seemed outdated (down to the minney mouse themed wall paper), the wifi did not work (neither wifi given was reliable), the beds were extremely uncomfortable (like sleeping on a toddler's cot), the staff was nice but the management was NOT, the convenient store was more like a beer stand (all they had was alcohol and a few nic-nacks, the food was terrible (it was basically the same thing everyday) and this was the one and only time I've ever been asked to return the key to them each time I left the building. It was not a pleasant experience.
Very rundown property. It was ok and the price was good, so I really should not complain, you get what you pay, kind of deal. Staff was nice and helpful. The location is excellent!
This hotel feels outdated and forgotten. Although fairly clean as you'd expect from a Japanese hotel, maintenance was poor. We found a hole on the wall, and a broken power socket. Amenities were only average. No USB on the power sockets, and no TV apps like Netflix or Youtube. They still use actual metal keys for the rooms so you can tell how dated everything is. The only thing good about the rooms that we stayed in was the seaview. Surrounding area was like a ghost town and the streets were dark and quiet at night. The convenience store downstairs was selling no more than 100 product types I think - If you only show me a picture of it I would've guessed this is in Ethiopia. This doesn't seem like a very popular hotel as the only other occupants we met were a Japanese dad and his daughter in the elevator - that was it! We never met any other customers at the reception or lobby. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was EMPTY! We had the entire restaurant to ourselves! Very weird and a little scary really... This hotel desperately needs renovation and improvements. Until that happens, we're not staying here again any time soon.
Beautiful view from the room, and the staff were friendly but the original room we were given had broken sockets, peeling wallpaper, A/C was not working, and the wifi was horrible. We were upgraded which was great but the room was still super hot, poor to no wifi, limited plugs.
The hotel rooms are large with room to move compared to other rooms in central osaka. The bed is comfortable with 4 pillows on a queen bed. The bathroom has a full bath in it. The room is serviced daily to good standards. The area is quiet at night, a 2 min walk to osaka aquarium, and easy access to universal nearby. A shopping mall is near the Ferris wheel and has good food choices inside. Make sure you get a good coffee at 9Borden cafe , only 2 streets away. Overall I recommend this hotel to singles or families
Location the hotel is nearly to Osakako Station & Bus Station, Shoping Mall &Mini Market.
Nearly Lego Land & Aquarium
Easy to go to Universal Studio by Ship/Train/Bus
Easy to locate and within walking distance from the train station. Very close to the Aquarium and the Wheel. Many convenience stores and eateries around the hotel. Wonderful harbour view too.

Convenient and Quiet Location
Enjoyed a very quiet stay, since the hotel is situated near the wharf. The breakfast here is a small spread, but had good quality food. Gives a good view of the Osaka Bay Area as well! The place is also a 3 min walk away from the Aquarium and Marketplace, meaning it’s really easy to get food and go to the Aquarium. There’s even a ferry to USJ nearby. It’s roughly a 8-10 minute straight walk to the nearest subway station Osakako, though this station is not really close to the major city areas. Overall, a really cozy stay! Definitely recommended.
The hotel is very good, comfortable, clean and easy access to Aquarium, market place, Wheels & Lego land. There is bus stop next to the hotel going to Osaka Station & Namba. Very convenience hotel to stay with great view from the hotel.

Visit to Universal Studios Japan
We did not realise that we had to designate non- smoking room option - our room stunk terribly. No food could be purchased except breakfast which was not sufficient if you went at 30 minutes before the end of service. Although there is a jug in the room and some green tea sachets there was no milk or sugar.
+ Located in a great area near the subway station (5 min walk) and next to Osaka aquarium (1 min walk), Lego World (2 min), and the world's biggest Ferris Wheel (3 min).
+ Hotel is large and is located a few feet away from Osaka bay. You may get a room with a nice view.
+ Room was spacious and bed was soft and comfortable.
- The hotel staff did not have a universal adapter for me to charge my laptop. Usually all the hotel's I've been to have one for international clients.
- This hotel is not located near downtown Osaka but rather near a lot of family and small children entertainment.
One night stay by 3 adults tour so got there late and left first thing. Helpful staff and very close to rail station. Used as transit accommodation but good value.
We stayed in 2 rooms (family of 5), and were really impressed with the views from our rooms and the short walk to a fantastic aquarium. The hotel is also convenient to a train station and access to the rest of Osaka. Hotel staff were really friendly and very helpful. Breakfast in the hotel is more on the traditional Japanese style, so something a bit different for us.
Close to amusement park and city with good sub way and bus service, staff friendly and helpful.
The hotel needs more English instructions on maps etc.

USJ
Nothing special , the hotel is a bit old only the aquarium( boring ) is jest next building. The subway and restaurants are 10 min walking. To go to Namba its not too far but need 2 subway line also to USJ , subway and JR line.I recommend Osaka Bay Tawer Hotel near the subway Bentencho(green line) if you go to USJ or aquarium or somewhere near Namba .
Our family stayed for four nights and had a great time. Tempozan is a wonderful base for a family looking to enjoy Osaka's highlights. The Seagull is situated in a quiet, clean neighbourhood - very safe and friendly.

Worth to stay
a quiet place to stay, with reasonable price, super nice seaview!
Thank god that I only booked for one night. I went there on May 19th of 2015. AC and WiFi did not work. We called the front desk and they sent someone up to see. That guy told us the max you can get the AC to is 24℃. Wow, really?!?!?!We requested to change a room and he said we can't. He then pulled the curtain and unscrewed the nails on the emergency exit( a hole) against the wall. You can never guess what he told us after this action. He said you guys can some wind from this emergency exit. I guess the emergency exit isn't for emergency use. Also, you can only use the WiFi in the lobby. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. We won't go back again for sure. NOT RECOMMENDED
Enjoyed our stay at the Seagull. Everything was clean, nice size room and comfortable bed. We did not have meals there. Very helpful staff.

One night in Tempozan
We stayed for 1 night board only. So in fairness we didn't need any service hence my average score. Room was well set out, large, western style and comfortable. Bed was not the most comfortable but slept well. Good value for money. Great view of port area out of the window. Liked the fridge and kettle in room. Was very handy for our planned trip to Osaka aquarium which was worth a visit.
Stayed for a week, awesome hotel..I wasn't expecting it to be so great since we got it for 55 a night...but the service is great, the rooms are great...we had an awesome view. The front desk people were very helpful, even though we didn't speak Japanese they were so helpful and really nice. Nice neighborhood...walking distance from the airport shuttle bus drop off and pick up location. Also walking distance to and from the train station. Great food places around the area as well. Would stay here every time I go to osaka.
This hotel in Yudanaka was the best from our trip of 5 other hotels around Japan. The rooms are very large and spacious. They even provide a hot water system (not just a kettle).
Being a traditional Japanese hotel they provide robes for you to wear around the hotel.
Breakfast was either Japanese or Western, we had both and both were very filling served in private rooms downstairs at your preferred time between 7-9 (best to get breakfast at the hotel, the town doesn't have much open in the morning except Lawson).
Our first night we opted for private onsen costs about $25AUD per person for 40mins, you even have two baths to choose from but there was no indication they were different.
There was even karaoke, though we didnt have time.
The hotel is a 3min walk from Yudanaka train station where you can take the bus to see the Snow Monkeys!
Only have positive things to say about Seagull hotel. Was here for a week from America. The staff was warm, inviting, helpful and happy to have us. Had their breakfast buffet on the weekend and it was delicious. Good location. Close proximity to shopping, many restaurants and the train station. The hotel is on the water do request a water view to get a gorgeous look out your window.
friendly, attentive staff, clean room but a bit small

Real
This hotel was overall a nice stay. It was a bit difficult to locate by taxi from downtown, but easily accessible by train. The room was spacious, but had a bit of an outdated feel. The views of Osaka Bay and the surrounding neighborhood are top notch.
