This glistening tribute to science is easily recognisable with it prodigious aluminium dome and blistering white exterior. Covering a range of diverse topics, from the solar system to the human body, The Orlando Science Center thrills and educates visitors with its four levels of extraordinary exhibits.

This iconic dome houses Florida's refractor telescope, the largest publicly accessible telescope in the state. Take part in a viewing session and witness the planets and the stars in all their glory. Be sure to check the weather ahead of your trip on the SunWatch and SkyWatch schedule to ensure viewing that’s truly out of this world.

Catch a film on the enormous 743-square-metre screen in the Dr. Phillips CineDome and learn about areas of scientific interest and outstanding natural beauty. The CineDome uses the world’s largest format of film and offers visitors the chance to watch films about coral reefs, Mount Everest and outer-space in outstanding clarity. All shows are included in the Full Experience entry price.

For budding scientists and kids of all ages, the Science Live! exhibit displays a fantastic range of themed science experiments. Exhibits are held regularly and offer visitors a live presentation of amazing experiments. For those visiting at Christmas, the frosty experiment with liquid nitrogen is a must-see.

Take to the wheel of the Mars Rover in Our Planet, Our Universe and collect rock sample to bring back to earth for scientific analysis. Excavate and analyse replica dinosaur fossils at Dinodigs for a truly remarkable educational experience.

Sinkhole Lake and Cypress Swamp offer kids a unique chance to get up close with animals native to the Central Florida ecosystem. This unique environment created by Natureworks allows children to touch live snakes, turtles and insects. On an average day, there are two feeding sessions for the larger creatures such as the stingrays and alligators.

The Orlando Science Center is at its busiest in the height of summer. All activities and exhibits are inside, perfect for rainy days or respite from the sweltering summer heat. Visitors should set aside at least half a day to view what is on offer at the centre. There is also a café on site.
