Upon arrival checking in was a chore. Our credit card was flagged for fraud they were not budging almost didn't let us check into the hotel. Super uncomfortable feeling when you've flown about 5 hours to visit the city doesn't leave a good impression

Did not enjoy being accosted by security every time we entered, even when we showed our room key multiple times to the same person.
Our room air conditioning sounded like a fog horn when turning on. Very annoying when it turns on every half hour in the middle of the night. We asked for maintenence to either fix it, or for a new room, and were blown off by front desk staff.
Great location but very disappointed with the standard of room. Brand Hyatt is poorly represented by this hotel. Room was a large corner suite but this was very tired and dated with a view directly into office building opposite making this a very dark room with little natural light. The expectation of a corner suite was that the windows would have a better view but in fact the bathroom and a large walk in wardrobe took up this space. Chipped dark brown furniture needs replacing. Bathroom dated and shower wasn't particularly clean.
Underwear from previous guests were located on shelf in bathroom when we checked in so had to call housekeeping to remove. Never enough towels for the 3 guests in the room - only ever 2 towels. Upon arrival i requested an extra towel and each day this third towel was never replaced so i had to contact housekeeping constantly for an extra towel. Once face towels were used they were never replaced.
No shower gel just a hand soap bar which was very oily and shampoo.
$4 per any size bag (plus tip!) if you want to store it after check out which is ridiculous and with 3 hand luggage and 3 back packs this becomes quite pricey.
Guests are given $15 each day to spend in their market to compensate for ridiculous resort fee - i would rather not pay the resort fee! $15 got us 2 small bottles of water and nothing else as a small chocolate bar was $4.50! Anything over the $15 by even a cent this will be charged to your room. Would not stay again.

I am so frustrated didn't sleep at all that fire check announcement so irritated me also housekeeping knocked on the door so early I am the person with the sleeping pill once I heard any sound I couldn't fall asleep again now my head is killing me and guys rooms are not soundproof you will hear every single sound from outside so disappointed 🙁

Horrible experience. Didn’t even have a bottle of water as complementary to drink. They were selling a 500ml bottle for $5.5. Even for the hot water we were charged. There was no coffee maker. Couldn’t play YouTube in the TV or other OTT channel. The TV sucked. Everything had to be purchased on demand.

I liked the location of the property. Staff were courteous. Room was specious enough for two bedding room. Room amenity was minimal. I requested a kettle, coffee maker and slippers and bathrobes at check in. Slipper was out of stock. Only one bathrobe delivered next day. Coffee maker and a kettle were not delivered for two days. I have to ask at the front desk again on third day. These amenities are standard for Hyatt in a past. Hyatt policy changed? We are given $15 per day credit at the Market Place (for paying resort fee?). Worst thing was wash basin design. We can not wash our face using wash basin because the shelf is too low. Everytime tried to wash face I and my sister banged our head to the shelf. I requested moisturizer but never delivered. Instead more shampoo and conditioner left. Did the hotel run out Moisturizer? Container of shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser were too hard and very difficult to squeeze out contents especially for old people like us. 3 star hotel give much better amenities. No pen or note pad. Very poor room amenities.

We had 3 rooms booked for 3 families. They could not provide us required 2 double beds for one of the rooms and asked us extra money to give a rollaway bed with extra king bed where we had booked room with 2 beds. We wasted more than 2 hours arguing and finally got an extra bed

The safe in our room didn’t work and couldn’t be fixed. We asked to change rooms but were told that wasn’t possible. Also the state of some of the furniture in the room was a little tired. Overall ok but a bit disappointing

I am giving this hotel 5 stars because of its location and convenience, which were awesome. It was clean and staff were friendly. My bed was not super comfortable, but it was totally manageable and I would stay here again.

All the staff were very helpful, professional and engaging. The fronts desk agent/ gentleman shannon was awesome and checked us in quickly. Thanks to all the house keeping staff and doormen as well. Everyone was amazing.

They placed us in room 3043. Which is across from the cleaning staff department. We would hear loud talking outside our room every morning at 7am until about 8:30am. Also basic stuff like towels we not refresh everyday. We had to keep calling, there was also a destination fee that you have to pay daily. For the price we paid the hotel is not worth it. I don’t recommend, we won’t be coming back.

This is such a convenient location and safe. Highly recommend this location for anyone traveling to NYC. Easy access to Grand Central which means easy access to anywhere in the greater metro area.

Most quiet rooms you’ll find in NYC. I’ve stayed in countless hotels in manhattan and the walls are so thin. At Hyatt you can’t even hear the people walking down the hallway, the police sirens outside, or the people in the rooms next to you. If you’re looking for a place you can get some rest and feel safe, Hyatt is the hotel for you :)
