Excellent location for the property, good service and amenities. The room does need a serious touch up in lighting. It was very dim with all the lights on and the window was facing the adjacent building so you didn’t get much light from there either. Shower floor was dirty with stains and marks. The front door doesn’t close fully by itself and you have to remember to pull it hard to lock it. The keycard access on our door was also pulled off/tampered with on one of the nights which made us worried about the security of our room. The freezer also made this loud, breathing sound that LITERALLY sounds like someone is standing in the room. Very difficult to sleep at night with it..

Place is dingy with stained ceilings and carpets. It needs renovation. The location is good and we enjoyed the view from the 17th floor.

Melbourne is easy to get around with the Trams, but this location was a little far from everything except for Queen Victoria Markets.

I booked for 2 nights but decided on another night in which they were able to do. Car park was $39 per night but in safe on site place. Great amenities all I needed. Close to Victoria markets and city Only one downer was I went to load my car in park at 930am to come back to my room to cleaners who had packed my remaining gear and had started cleaning the room already before I had checked out!

Location is great, with both trams and trains just a minute walk away. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The room condition left a lot to be desired though. The handle of our tap was broken, we found a small cockroach on the third day and my partner cut his finger while washing the wine glass because it had a chip on the rim. Overall a good place to stay if you’re on a budget, otherwise there are better options.

The staff were excellent and patient. The room was smaller than expected and faced many high rise office blocks. Consequently, the curtains had to remain closed the whole time. The room was expensive for what was offered. There was no washing up/wiping down cloth and not one sharp knife to cut bread. Cooking utensils were meagre. I was extremely disappointed with this room considering how expensive it was.

Very nice stay
I had a very nice stay here. The locations was great and very near to public transportation (which did factor into my choosing to stay here). The room was comfortable and clean and had all the amenities I needed. The staff was helpful, friendly, available, respectful, and professional. The view from the balcony was not the best since it was directly across from another building, but this was just likely bad luck since a room on another side of the building would have had a different view

Very basic hotel. Only a reception downstairs for check in purposes. Other than that no need to expect much from them. Room was so-so. Location is good. Near to queen Victoria market and tram free zones. Easy to walk to other places in the CBD.

Poor communication. Told to dial 9 if we needed anything when I went to dial both phones in apartment didn’t work. Also was made to come back to reception after parking my car to be given a car park ticket then had to go back down to carpark to put ticket on my car. I had a heap of bags to carry why wasn’t this all done on my check-in? The couch in apartment I’m sure had mites in it we couldn’t stop scratching. Remote controls for tv only work sometimes TV is useless. The best part of my room was the view and that’s it. I couldn’t wait to leave early the next morning, definitely won’t be coming back.

We stayed at this Oaks instead of the one at south Yarra. The location is very convenient and just inside the free tram travel limit. If you don’t like taking cabs or Ubers it’s a perfect choice. Staff couldn’t be friendlier and even minded our bags after check out and before our flight. If you’re flying Jetstar that’s a big plus because they are notorious for delays and flight cancellations!

One of the most consistent hotels in the area.
