This is a budget property and you get what you pay for. Rooms are small but clean with no frills. It is in a very convenient location.

One of the blinds had been knocked out so there was street light coming in, a lamp on the bed gave a mild electric shock. Apart from that everything else was good. The location is excellent as were the front desk staff

Was a very 50/50 place to stay. Seemed like only half the staff knew what they were doing, and we needed to change rooma in the first night because our shower only went burning hot. Was charged a security deposit seperately to the cost of the room and i think there was a mix up in regards to that by the pwrson at reception so they did try to charge the security deposit again after refinding me. We called them again after and the guy at reception promptly refunded us again.

I liked that it was secure because at 10pm returning to the hotel there were a lot of homeless and not so good people hanging around the area

Good location, decor/carpets a bit shabby in places but not enough to put most people off i would suggest. Wifi didn't work at all for me for my 4 day stay, witnessed many other guests with same complaint.

First of all room rate per night should only be $99 as per website. But because of greed due to Taylor Swift’s concert, probably the owner of the hotel decided to increase the rate per night. The fact that it is a low budget hotel. From 15 Feb check in, out on 17 Feb, we paid $598.00 which was not worth it. Now, what’s your say?

Property is very old and needs a makeover Rooms are very small Our room had air conditioner leaking water literally pouring out and the bathroom door was coming off its hinges Breakfast was terrible. Had to ask for literally everything. it was a very communal setting and very uninviting. Waste of money really. Probably the worst we had in our lives.

More than adequate for a solo stay
Hotel is a little impersonal, my room was very compact but fine for one person. The window didnt open and unfortunately the building opposite (offices) had a window directly facing mine so we could see into each others’ rooms - privacy issue could easily have been remedied if the room had had net curtains (it didnt). My only other gripe was that in three days and despite leaving the ‘please clean my room’ sign outside my room wasnt cleaned and tea/coffee and cups were not replenished. Nonetheless I had a perfectly acceptable stay - the hotel is in a great spot- and I would definitely stay again.
People in the building opposite could see directly into my room.

Depressing.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. That's the only positive. The entrance smelled of urine, the corridor carpet is soiled and desperately needs replacing. The room was drab and dreary and the shower had a broken door. Depressing stay.

I stayed 1 night and was pretty good area to stay. Only problem i had was trying ti open room door, realky had to push it once green light come on. And both times it took 3 attempts. Room was basic and enough space for 1 traveller. Would stay here again , close to trams in collins and Elizabeth streets

Although the rooms are small the location and ease of access to all the facilities Melb has to offer more than makes up for this. Rooms were clean and staff helpful and friendly. Dont think a more expensive room elsewhere would have offered any more.

Budget stay
Budget hotel in the centre of the CBD short walk to transport, room basic but comfortable, the only issue is the shower screen needs fixing in the room I stayed in

This place needs a significant upgrade. The place smells like mildew, rotten carpets. Rooms need updating. Lovely staff

Cheap and cheerful as the old saying goes. Hotel was rather basic but excellent central location. Corner Elizabeth and Collins St with trams and trains practically at the door. Loads of supermarkets and places to eat too.
