I stayed at the Belmont primarily because it’s close to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. I checked in the night before my departure. It was convenient. The rooms are clean. The staff were friendly. But what was most astonishing for me was having access to a resident hotel nurse. I, unfortunately, got vertigo (nausea, room spinning, dizziness) the night before my departure. I was traveling alone so I wanted to alert the front desk to my condition. They connected me with Nurse Mariel, who came to my room, took my vitals, helped me find my Dramamine (which helps with vertigo), got me settled in bed (my phone close to me, a plastic bag in case I needed to puke some more.) She even found White Flower to give me (an oil to out under your nostrils to help with dizziness). She gave me her contact info on Viber. Nurse Mariel checked on me the next day to make sure I felt well enough to fly home. I recovered in time to take my flight. I am so grateful for the care the hotel staff and nurse Mariel gave me. Thank you, Nurse Mariel. You really helped me when I could not even get out of bed on my own. I will for sure stay at the Belmont as my airport hotel the next time I return to Manila.
