Our anniversary made Special.
Two weeks before our stay we were moved to the Grand Royale London. Therefore, my rating is for that hotel NOT Hyde Park International. Because it was our wedding anniversary we were really looked after and a hotel we will definitely book again.

We were transferred to stay at the Park Grand Hyde Park instead. For a 4* hotel the room we were given was old, tattered, the showers were yellow instead of white, scratches and wallpaper falling off. Tape around the air con unit to keep it from falling apart. The sheets were clean and you could see the room has been cleaned but the aesthetic of the room was so poor that it still felt dirty. We won’t be staying here again. The staff however were very nice and friendly.

We booked this hotel for two nights and paid in full in advance for our 18 year old daughter to stay there while attending a course in London. The hotel accepted our booking (which we booked only one day before arrival) and sent a confirmation email, but when our daughter arrived the hotel was shut for refurbishment. We did not receive any prior notice of this. There was one person in the building when our daughter arrived at about 9.30pm and they did arrange for her to be given a room in a sister hotel, thankfully, but this booking should never have been accepted and it is disgraceful that no attempt was made to prewarn us of the situation.

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon,there was nobody manning the reception and no way of calling anyone.so we had a 10 minute wait We booked a double club room,which apparently are their biggest rooms but is was very compact It has all you need and was clean apart from the waste bin and another little minor the toilet rolls had not been re stocked so had to call reception I wasn’t bad by any means but have stayed in better in the area for same money

Awful I wanted a conveniently located hotel from Oxford street as I was coming to shop. Luckily parking was available on the site for £20 pn (FCFS basis). I only booked because I had racked up some points on Expedia and so this hotel didn’t cost me a dime for the night. I advise all travellers to avoid.

The check in was quick and simple. The location is easy to find and the street is quite. Close to the park and many shops and restaurants. The underground is just around the corner. The room was clean and not much wear and tear. What surprised us was that the room had an iron, microwave, fridge, safe and air-conditioning. The hotel has a lift too. However, what did not meet the expectations were the following: lots of works and reconstruction going on the street. The room had some level of insulation, but still expect to be fully aware of the neighbours presence. The TV does not have any international channels, Netflix or Sky. The room had no night lights - either all lights on or off. Overall, it was a great experience. The hotel is good value for money and very likely we will be back.Recommended!!!

The hotel infrastructure is fair but the services was great. I was not feeling well, with food poisoning in the middle of the night. The manager helped us tremendously by changing us to a new room and I could rest and recover. Thank you

We were given a street level room which was fine but most of the lights in the room were not working and there were stairs Leo’s in the room as well outside the room. Like living in a stairway platform. No sheets, just a duvet. Only on bedside stool for things. Dirty shower floor. Called for an extra sheet twice but never received it. Terrible customer service.

Hotel kindly let us drop luggage off prior to check in, which allowed us to visit attractions with no excess baggage. Room was nice & clean, air con & fridge was very welcome as very warm weather. Couldn't fault

The property was filthy. The room has black mould all through the bathroom, on the wall behind the bed and all around the windows. There was dust and cobwebs everywhere and one of the pillowcases had a bloodstain on it.

Stayed for one night… easy location in front of Bayswater tube station The room was clean and tidy but the air con made a loud noise every 10 mins so had to be switched off. The room although classed as a deluxe was very small with the bed against the wall. Would be better for 1 person not 2. The bathroom was nice but the shower just trickled water out.

They don’t clean or change the bed sheets, you will find blood spots on them even after they “cleaned” them. They don’t even do the bare minimum right. The rooms are so tiny and the AC makes an annoying sound that makes it hard to sleep. Avoid at all costs.

Disappointing Stay
This hotel was very disappointing. Stayed in room 210 which was very small, double bed was barely that, vacuum left outside in the hallway, pillows were rock hard, bed was right up agaisnt the window and curtains, some stains on the sheet. Overall I would definitely not stay here again unless you can live with these deficiencies for being next to Hyde Park which is its major selling point. This hotel is typical of the "townhouse" type hotels you see in this area. Building is old and needs TLC.

Not cheap or cheerful
Room was small but adequate the mattress was far too soft. The cleanliness of the room at first sight looked ok but seriously needs a proper clean. The man on reception when I checked out was the most unhelpful person I have ever dealt with asked if he could get me a taxi which he didn’t and resulted in me missing my train so have to pay for another ticket would not stay here ever again.

The hotel was not as expected the gentleman on reread as helpful as possible the lift button to our floor didn't work so had to go up to next level to come down the stairs the sink in the bathroom when you ran the water the water came out the bottom of the sink on to the floor the side rail in the shower when you tried to adjust the level it wouldn't grip the front of tgg he e hotel scruffy torn bin bags discarded on the floor. Supposedly four star couldn't get a drink no bar facilities

Incredibly disappointing experience. After mistakenly making a reservation for a night earlier than my scheduled arrival, the hotel wouldn't cancel it and grant a refund. Then, the day of my arrival, I was told that because of "maintainance issues" I was moved to a basement room at another property, which was ultimately subpar...see photo below. I have contacted Hotels.com for a refund...hopefully that will happen, given how horrendous all this was.

Very hot indeed and not in a good way!!!
The air con didn’t work and the room was stifling. The hotel were unable to do anything about it or provide another room. He then said he was looking at another room but never came back to us. The next morning getting ready the sweat was just dripping off us. The room was so uncomfortably hot. We reminded them and the looked at the air con whilst we were out and it was a lot better when we got back. Overall the rooms are basic and dated. Not sure where the 4 stars comes from??

Rooms were incredibly small. Our entire room was just a bed shoved against the corner with maybe a single person standing space around it. Location was excellent though and staff were quick with resolving a plugged drain. Would have been an excellent stay minus the room size.

I booked this hotel for my boyfriends 30th and to say we were disappointed is an understatement only good thing was the location of the hotel to be honest! When we arrived the girl at check in wasn’t the friendliest. I booked a deluxe double room, and it wasn’t anything like the photos when booking, the room and bed was absolutely tiny definitely smaller than a double. When I went to query this and state that it was false advertising I was told that the hotel had been in touch regarding the photos and I would have to pay £100 to upgrade (I already spend £285 for 2 nights) on top of this our toilet bin hadn’t been emptied, there was still the previous occupiers face mask in there, 2 of the plugs didn’t work and there was very little space to store your clothing (we couldn’t use the bedside drawers as the handles were broken) All in all I would avoid this hotel, for what I paid we were massively disappointed
