First receptionist was miserable not very welcoming,lady doing rooms was very nice,Breakfast was not nice at all very cheap sausages tasted like it to only full fat milk for breakfast and in rooms no choice,free wifi but didn't work on our room,tv control broken,and same car parked in disabled space with no disabled badge, woken up by people going to work at 6 every morning from the hotel,someone screaming and fighting on the tuesday morning after breakfast and all we were told what do you expect it's a 2 star hotel

Rossmore; get what you pay for
Very first experience of this 9 night stay was walking into my room and was greeted by some huge spiders. I thought, you get what you pay for. I settled in and planned to charge my electronics and none of the outlets throughout the hotel have USB ports. Not 1. I just assumed I'd have to use the shared bathroom which isn't ideal, but I didn't question it. Only on day 3 when the shared bathroom desperately needed cleaning did the cleaning lady tell me that my room had a private bathroom. I finally got my key to use the private bathroom and my god it was so lovely! However the door/lock combo on both the bathroom and the individual rooms are almost impossible to work. This hotel has no fridge, no ice but complimentary breakfast! I was asked about housekeeping daily which was nice and persistent! I would say it's a little uncomfortable to be asked when coming in early mornings whether I was staying there or not. I think the guest services should be a little more aware of who is staying (especially if I'm staying for 9 days) The staff overall was very nice and pleasant, I definitely asked a bunch of American style questions and they were always helpful and informative. Checkout process left a little to be desired in that they sort of pushed me out a few minutes early, and someone stood by to watch me collect my bag and things. A bit awkward. Best thing about this is the area, Valentines park is a gem! Food and shopping close by! Feeling of safety every at night!

Quite disappointing, the male at the reception desk did not offer to help with luggage I had or check if I knew where the restaurant/bar was or offer a WiFi password. Just handed a room card and carried on with his conversation.

OK hotel with a good cleaner, free parking
Small room and not the comfiest bed but the standard of cleaning/housekeeping was outstanding. Better than some 4/5 star hotels. Good shower too and breakfast not too bad considering the price. Corridors smelled of illegal substances though I must point out.

Nice comfort stay
The location is a bit far, but still accessible on the newly opened Elizabeth line. The hotel is located on the main road, but it's a quiet road, not noisy at night. I had a good sleep, advantage of booking somewhere out of busy london, if you don't mind the extra time on the tube. The hotel is across the road to the Valentine Park, which gives this hotel a nice sense of "peace and quiet" surrounding. It's very relaxing. I booked a room with shared bathroom, however, it is very near to my room and bathroom seldom used. I felt it was as if my own. I have to bring my own shower gel, which I don't mind, because it is important to check and ask before you travel, and the staff quite friendly to answer any queries. With expectation all set, I had a really nice experience for this one night stay, not forgetting the nice breakfast which is cooked and buffet style, and allowing you to help yourselves, no need to place order. I will come and stay again. ;)

The place is terrible, no help from the staff, lift or trolley to carry luggage to the floors. No help from the staff at all, I regret staying there. I’m sure those that give all the good reviews are ghost customers.

Not the good nights sleep that was promised.
Lovely hotel bit old could do with a revamp past the reception point!! Said there was a bar and lounge but it was a room with some sofas and tables and chairs in and a shut down bar. Stated free toiletries but all there was was toilet roll and a hand soap dispenser. Bathroom could do with an overhaul, paint flaking off the ceiling lots of mould around the shower and non matching tiles. Bed was lovely but the mattress very uncomfortable so didnt get the good nights sleep that was promised!! If i had no other choice i would use again but wouldnt rush back im afraid.

hairdryer in room dangerous , burning when switched on an bad electrical smelling smoke coming out, reception let me use hairdryer in other room...broken, third room he said hairdryer was working but when I tried sparks were flying out of it . Iron had bare wires coming out of iron lead, 2 small bath towels for a three people room, would never use again

On arriving at the hotel I found there to be no sign of any covid-19 related signage, no social distancing measures, no hand sanitizer ANYWHERE!. The bed was comfortable but had little space as room was very pokey. Also damp on wall with wallpaper peeling off (see pic), and a strong shisha smell in room and hallway. On entering the dining area n the morning I found 3 yellow X's on the floor. As I was getting my breakfast from the buffet, the lady from the kitchen walked in ( no hair net, apron, face mask or gloves) with a plate with several fried eggs on (not covered) and removed the ultimate lid and slid them off the plate with her fingers. With the current situation with the pandemic I think this is atrocious behaviour. I don't think I will be returning any time soon thank you.

Worste nights sleep in a long time
Only use this app for cheap stays whilst working away for work (construction) on my own, so im use to the low end hotels not being much to shout about but wow, one of the main reasons i booked this place was because it had a bar and restaurant, on arrival was told it does not open, had to go into town for food. Room was the size of a match box, could only find 2 shared toilets/showers between 66 rooms. Shower room was in awful condition, worse ive ever come across, all floor tiles were cracked and loose on the floor. Could not stand in the bathroom bare foot without a towel on the floor as tiles would have cut bottom of feet. Shower room door didnt even have a lock. Bedroom was absolutely red hot due to radiator thermostat broken, kept the window wide open all night which did not help and just let all the road noise in. Woke up 3 times in the night needing water, only place i could get drinking water from was from the basin in one of the shared toilets as basin in room only gave me hot water. Would not stay again, spend an extra tenner and go to a proper hotel.

Location good, parking good, bed was comfortable, but the hotel stairways, and just general look inside was run down, wall paper coming off, clearly people smoking in rooms with the smell, drug use was evident, stale smells. The room itself was good, but the shower did not work properly.

There was nothing to like about this hotel at all, apart from the staff at the reception desk were easy to deal with. The hotel is very dated and you get the feeling that you’ve gone way back in time once you enter. We paid around £127 for 2 nights, so not exactly cheap when you consider the bigger more well known hotel chains cost around the same. The room was very old style and looked battered. Wallpaper was peeling off. 1 out of 4 light bulbs working on the ceiling light. The clothing hanger rail fell off when I tried to hang my clothes up. There was a bug in one of the beds. The bed creaked every time I moved. The shower tray had mould around the edges and the water pressure in the shower was, well there was no water pressure, struggled to wash myself in that shower and still felt dirty after using it. The sink had a chunk missing out of the bowl, which had been glued back on and filled around. The toilet did not flush properly, so I raised this with the receptionist who said someone will come and have a look. Around 10 minutes later an old man in a 2 piece suit turned up whilst he was on the phone, he then sat on my bed for another 5 minutes whilst he finished off his conversation. Eventually he got off the phone, walked into the bathroom, flushed the toilet and said yeah it’s fine, and walked off. We didn’t use the toilet because we knew it wasn’t flushing. We checked out early and didn’t stay the second night. I don’t usually do reviews, but I felt this one was needed.
