The property was lovely inside the hotel, and the room was cosy as advertised. There was an atrocious strong smell which was the one thing that marred the experience. The smell was present the whole period of our stay.

Great location, bad smell
Best thing about hotel is the location. Easy to get to from Euston on 2 tubes and also great walking distance to winter wonderland at Hyde park (25 mins). Quick 5 min walk to the tube station to get into central. Hotel room was small no space to open case which is expected in London. Gave 3* due to the hotel room it smelt like drains especially the bathroom, we had to open the window while in the room to air it out however smell still lingered. Also unable to have a shower as the water built up and did not go down for a long time. Building works going on next door which woke us up at 8am, wasn’t aware until we got there. Overall nice hotel if drain system and smell is sorted. Would recommend short stays 1 or max 2 nights.

Small but clean and well-appointed rooms. Steps from Paddington Station with dozens of bars and restaurants in a one block radius (I counted six places you could get shawarma within a block!). Only major issue - they rent the rooms out for day use and when I arrived at almost 9PM they said the room wasn’t ready. For me it was only a short wait since I arrived so late but another poor lady in the lobby had been waiting for hours. If they can’t guarantee check in by 5:00 or so, they should state that clearly somewhere before you book the room. You shouldn’t have to pay for room for the “night” if you don’t get into the room until 9:30PM

When we got to our room the carpet was a little dirty, otherwise it was clean overall. We asked about the air conditioning because it did not seem to be working and the staff was not able to help much. The USB outlets by the bed did not work. The park across the street had been taped off. There were noisy people in front of the hotel at night which we were able to hear, but realized the outer pane window of the 2 windows was not shut, so just check your windows. It was nice to have the free items in the mini bar.

My wife and I stayed 10 nights at this hotel during a leisure visit. The hotel was clean, modern, and convenient to surrounding restaurants, stores, and transport links, while the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was also good. The only downside was the size of the room. We knew in advance that the room would be small, but it seemed to get even smaller with each passing day. Nonetheless, it was a small price to pay for a very pleasant experience overall.

This hotel rents out rooms which are not taken care of. When we arrived we were asked to switch to the sister hotel because our room was not ready. The room we were assigned in this sister had an air conditioner which was rattling. We had to go back to reception and request another room. We did get a room in the original hotel booked however that room has single pane windows which were not sealed and later when we wanted to watch tv, the remote volume and channel buttons would not work so we had no sound. The staff was sending someone up to check and no one ever showed up. It seemed that they are aware but didn’t care.

You agreed to take the offer and we also gave you a complimentary breakfast as a gesture of goodwill. We did not force you to accept the offer and you could have waited for your room to be ready. When you complained about the air conditioner in the sister hotel, we immediately changed your room to the original hotel you booked. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the windows and the TV remote in your room, but we did send someone to check on them as soon as we received your complaint. We are sorry that you felt that we did not care about your comfort, but we did everything we could to make your stay pleasant. Love this hotel. Location is great and steps away from the Paddington station. Staff are friendly and helpful. Although the room is not large since it’s downtown London, the design of the room creates lots of storage room. I recommend this hotel.

It is a 5 min walk to Paddington Station for the train to Heathrow. The hotel is affiliated with a very good restaurant onsite. The rooms are small but we stayed in other hotels and had the same comment. It is London!

Very dirty room, bad experience
We really don’t like giving bad reviews, but in this case we are going to have to make an exception. Staff are lovely, and the location is very convenient. HOWEVER - 1) The rooms are incredibly dirty - see the pictures of the bathroom pan and the stained carpet attached. 2) There was an awful smell in the bathroom all the time, we complained politely- and all they did was pour some beach down the drain. 3) Rooms are small, even by London standards.

Staff and service was excellent. The room was smaller than our cruise cabin but the bath was modern. Couldn't hang out in the room unless on the bed. Good location for us very close to Paddington Station.

Near Paddington station so convenient transportation. Clean rooms but very small. Elevator too small especially for luggage. Area is beautiful but has limited good restaurants. Mercury finally opened the cute bar last night we were there.

If I had known that the family room (with three beds and not the layout in the photo) was in the basement with the window where mid of the night deliveries and guests arrive I would have chose a different hotel. I wound up buying ear plugs.

A little jewel near Paddington Station
Fabulous location in a quiet spot very near Paddington Station and a short walk to Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Small but comfortable room, great bed. Copious breakfast offerings. A really good find! We'll be back!

This is not an 8 star hotel. At best it is a 6 star hotel. We booked a room with 3 twin beds for 3 nights. The room was for 3 adults. The first night we were not provided the room we booked; we were given a room with 2 twins and a cot. The staff said the type of room we booked was not available and the room available was too small for 3 twin beds. This is correct as the room was tiny. We were also told we could move to the type of room we had booked during the remaining 2 nights of our stay. We were not offered any discount for having to stay in the inferior room. When we were told that we could change to the type of room we booked the hotel staff wanted us to move in 15 minutes. 3 members of the hotels housekeeping staff were waiting right outside our hotel room door to the point of blocking our ability to leave the room. And, no staff member offered to assist us with our luggage when we went from reception to the inferior room nor when we moved to the second room. I posted about our check in experience and when I was checking out the reception staff made a comment about the posting. He also didn’t want to provide a receipt to me because he thought I had paid through “Expedia”, which I had not. I had the worst customer service experience I have ever had at this hotel and will never stay there again. On a positive note, the breakfast was wonderful and the waitresses superb.

The staff were GREAT and the location is very convenient for those wanting to go to Hyde Park and Paddington station. Get the breakfast option, you won’t be sorry. The cafe that provides the breakfast for the hotel is well run and delicious. The only complaint was how horribly hard and uncomfortable the bed was. Concrete.

Shower conundrum
The shower was completely blocked and unusable and with little time, left me in a sticky sweaty situation. Very disappointing, wish I had gone somewhere else. (Im sure if shower was usable I would have had a acceptable stay)
