We stayed here during a trip to Paris for an event being held at Espace Grande Arche (near Grande Arche). The hotel was lovely, the staff were friendly. The Skyline bar has a wonderful view to the Eiffel Tower and the bar staff were friendly and chatty but not over the top for tips. The room was lovely, we also had a view to the Eiffel Tower from our room. The location had an underground metro right next door so very handy for travel, we were 1 metro stop to La Defense for our event at the Grande Arche. We didn't explore around the hotel, but did travel into Paris city on the metro to see Eiffel tower etc and it was all very easy.
A great hotel right off the M1 line at the La Defense district. We had two great rooms, good 24 hr. wifi for free and the shuttle service that drops you at the M1 line was top notch! I would highly recommend it!
The hotel was situated very near the Metro which was the easiest method of travel around Paris. We had a nice view of the Eiffel Tower from our room where we could see it lit up at night and a nice view of the river Seine in the day. Hotel staff were all friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable with everything we needed. All I would say is that being in the financial district of Paris you could quite easily get caught in the local morning commute so it's wise to time your journeys out into Paris accordingly.
Had to spend a night in Paris and I chose this hotel and I have nothing bad to say about it. It was comfortable and clean. The only problem I had was how to locate the hotel, spent more than 40 minutes trying to locate it from the nearest train station. People just gave the wrong directions but, will definitely recommend it to anyone!
..... but avoid dining in the hotel unless you're happy being hit in the wallet. It's outrageously expensive and, quite frankly, nothing your Mum wouldn't do better at. We've stayed before and avoided dining-in this time because of the food offer. We will book this hotel again because it is good value - if you can get a good deal, as we did.
The rooms are great and I want to die in one of the beds. The only gripe about the rooms is the lack of wardrobe space. Four clothes hangers in a wardrobe about 2 feet wide? Come on now Sofitel, do be serious- that's enough room for a day's worth of my wife's clothes!!
"Great for La Défense access - very helpful staff"
Fantastic warm and efficient meeting from the staff on check-in, which was quick and easy. Not too big which made the stay feel more personal. The room was very clean and comfortable - nice selection of in-room tea!
My room overlooked Av Charles De Gaulle and a fabulous fountain in the centre of a roundabout (name escapes me). The location, just 100m from Pont De Neuilly Metro, was perfect for the purpose of my stay - just two stops from La Défense. It was also just 150m from our Paris office which made it even better!
This high-rise business city glitters to the west of Paris at the far end of the Grande Axe. Centrepiece is La Grande Arche, a vast hollow cube containing office and exhibition space, an information centre and a rooftop viewpoint. An IMAX cinema and a huge shopping centre with cafés and brasseries attract tourists as well as office-workers. Sculptures, mosaics and fountains add life the skyscraper surroundings.
