Paradise on mangrove land. Picturesque with Santubong mountain on one side and the South China Sea on the other. Warm and friendly staff. Spacious, clean and beautifully furnished rooms. Truly a space for weary souls who want to rejuvenate themselves.

A hidden gem. A very well designed and maintained property. Didn't feel like we were staying in a hotel. The staff were unfailingly polite and courteous. More importantly, they appeared genuinely keen to help. When told that we were vegetarians, the staff at the restaurant took great pains to check with the chef to have vegetarian breakfast prepared for us in lieu of that on the menu. The staff at the reception guided us on scheduling our visits to the various spots in Kuching. We stayed 4 nights here (just before the new year) and they were one of the most relaxing and peaceful stays. We wish Cove 55 and its staff and management a very happy new year and many successful years ahead.

We loved that it was constructed in such a mod, architectural manner particularly the pool. Practicality and substance were sacrified in some areas for style, and this needs to be revisited. Expanding the menu with eveb more local fare would be good as well. Mattress, pillows and bedding were by far the best we'd ever experienced, across the globe, so kudos for that. And we love your staff. Friendly and efficient without being curious and intrusive.

Pros: 1. Attentive and friendly staff 2. Freshly-made breakfast (ala-carte) with a small buffet site 3. Nice spacious room equipped with amenities 4. Staff went above and beyond to fulfil our order past the last order time Cons: 1. No guards on site to open and close the gate. Only rely on staff who weren’t 24/7 available at the guard house 2. No experienced bartender to make good cocktail drinks. They we’re almost tasteless but priced expensively. The mocktails were delicious though.

Sanctuary away from town
Great place, great staff, everyone very friendly and helpful. They packed breakfast and lunches for us when we couldn't make the times or were out and generally helped. However, it is a distance from the town so guided tours often charge extra for the 30min to pick you up. On the other hand, its only 10 min from the Santubong Mountain trek (about 3hrs to peak one way with 2 waterfalls on the way). Great food and even better unique cocktails from the Cambodian mixologist (forgotten his name sorry!) Try the 6 pieces of gold in particular!

Staff were really friendly, rooms are spacious and clean, amazing cocktails by the pool, and the top was also their breakfast, I think I never had an egg Benedict that good. Thank you for the great stay!

A tasty slice of paradise
The hotel was truly excellent. Wonderful boutique experience. The staff couldn’t have looked after us more and every member of staff was an absolute delight. The hotels itself was modern and beautiful and the food was especially tasty (especially the wasabi prawns)! I’m a huge fan of breakfast, and their made to order breakfast were some of the best we have had. As good as a swanky London brunch to say the least (great eggs benedict & coconut pancakes). Very impressed overall and would definitely recommend it for a refreshing relaxing break.

A little slice of paradise.
It is truly a little slice of paradise in the cove area. The area is very private, very well taken care of. The staff were all very friendly and willing to help us arrange for transport. We stayed in a corner suite and a balcony room, both of which were stunning. The corner suite was spacious. We really liked the sitting area in the corner suite because it provided us a space to hangout at night. The design of the balcony room's toilet area is more for couples, so just keep one eye closed when your friend is in the toilet or showering. wink. But of course, just go to the main pool by the waters. That's the highlight of the property. Soak in the infinity pool, and soak in the sight and sound of the water, waves, mountain view, and to birds chirping. Highly recommended and we will be back.

What an awesome place!
Cove 55 was unexpectedly awesome!. A little slice of heaven to return to after some serious rain forest trekking. Location wise , a little far off from main attractions but more than made up with staff help to organise all-day taxi services. The food was amazing! Really top quality.

Would travel to Kuching just for Cove55!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The atmosphere of this place was calming. The design aesthetics in the room and common area were pleasing to the eyes which added to the entire pampering experience. Furthermore, the service staff were polite, friendly and very personable. They ensured that my needs were being met during the trip and constantly checking in to ensure everything was fine. Their attention to details was very commendable. I will definitely be returning soon and making this my go-to retreat place.

Beautiful, luxury break
What a fantastic short break we just had at Cove 55! Ideal for relaxation in luxurious surroundings, we couldn’t recommend it enough and my husband did not want to leave at the end of the 3 days. If you’re thinking of booking... it’s honestly as lovely as the pictures (and more!!). Cove55 is set in perfectly manicured gardens with 2 inviting pools and plenty of lounging / seating options, with a dramatic backdrop of the mountain and at the same time a view of the mangroves. We spent hours just watching the clouds and the tides in this peaceful haven, whilst enjoying drinks from the carefully put-together wine list and cocktail menu. The accommodation and public areas are beautifully finished and everything has been thought of and delivered to the highest quality. Thoughtful touches are everywhere - like fresh iced water by the pool, coffee machines in the rooms and the multiple little seating areas to escape to. Gillian and her team are absolutely outstanding. Every member of staff was professional, attentive and genuine - true hospitality at its best. Thank you for a wonderful escape - we will definitely be back!

Beautiful retreat
Love all the deco and the design/layout of the hotel. Everything looks beautiful and clean. The pools are great. Superb service by the staff and everyone is friendly. The view is stunning and the balcony room has the perfect view of the sunrise. Love that they have this small sofa/bench at the balcony for us to chill. Bear in mind that there is no tv but with all the swimming and lounging area to relax at, the day goes by in a blink of an eye. The breakfast spread is very tasty and got plenty of choices. Definitely worth the price.
