Terrible condition at Hyatt kuantan
The towels, linen and curtains were dirty. The sofa had blood stains on it. Both rooms had mold in the AC and on the table. Despite requesting to have the rooms side by side, no action was taken to accommodate this. The lights in the rooms that were not working. The coffee ordered was cold. I made the difficult decision to leave the hotel early and was further disappointed when informed that a refund would not be granted for the rest of the stay.

Worth it!
The hotel had provided a free upgrade to club room and it was a pleasant surprise for us as the room is spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet spread was good and the Malay delicacy was super yummy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

Service is great. But the place looks a bit dated. Still can see popcorn walls. And room a but small even though i booked ocean view. Lastly i feel 4pm check in time unreasonable as their rooms rates quite high. Check in 4pm and check out 12pm seems a bit rush to me.

I spent three nights here with family, specifically including club lounge access which we have been curious about for some time. The hotel is conveniently located right on the beach and has two different swimming pools which offered lots of options for spending time especially if you have a kid to entertain. There was also a recreation room onsite with kids' games which also came in useful. The service was excellent. We felt so welcome there, with staff remembering our names and addressing every request in quick fashion. I had to request some food we had for my child to be reheated a few times, and once needing help with a toilet issue with our room. It was fixed within a half hour. The club lounge access came with breakfast and evening canapes which became our dinner throughout the stay. Food options were good and we enjoyed the convenience. The rooms had been recently refurbished and we were happy with everything provided. Maybe the only thing to improve would be to have a few more options for hanging towels in the bathroom and firmer pillow options. Overall a very enjoyable stay and would love to come back one day.

Hotel itself and location are good, however both hotel and beach were very crowded-no longer a tranquil resort. Hotel needs additional pools - 2 small one’s constantly full with screaming kids. Lobby was the same - despite being lovely architecture and great staff, it had a bus station vibe with luggage and noisy kids everywhere. We were disappointed as we stayed here in 1990 and had fond memories of a tranquil resort by a beautiful quiet beach. It’s not like that anymore.

Hyatt Kuantan Resort offers a stunning private beach, perfect for families. The cleanliness and friendly staff were impressive. The nearby town with popular fast-food chains like McDonald, Starbucks, KFC and Subway adds convenience, and the 10-minute walk to The Rocks provides picturesque beach views.

We had a club room, but had to check in with everyone else, rather than the club lounge, which we found out used to happen before the renovation. These are the added touches that make spending a lot more for a club room worthwhile, so it was disappointing that experience didn’t occur.

Hotel Birthday Surprise
The staff was very accommodating. We were throwing a birthday surprise in the room and able to contact them for special arrangements. Room was big and clean. Facilities are well maintained Staff will greet guest with a smile upon passing them Only improve, i felt the carpark is very full as anybody can park. Causing hotel guest to walk further for second parking. Suggestion: For Hotel guest and event to park only at main carpark and secondary carpark for anyone else.

For the size of the property (as it’s quite big) this is a really great hotel! The staff are amazing especially housekeeping who were fantastic! Loved the room and big comfy bed! the pools are really nice too and plenty of sun loungers either on beach or by pool. Only negatives were high alcohol prices! (Well over £5 for a small bottle of Asahi!!) reduce your prices and people will consume a little more ) bar was always empty! Also stop using tiny plastic shampoo bottles! No need - otherwise excellent place and lovely to relax in for a few days (beach is awesome too) and great for monkey spotting!
