It has spacious lobby and rooms, however, unfortunately the furniture is old. The lacking cleanliness, bed linen was not replaced, the bathroom was not cleaned properly, the carpet was not vacuumed.

We took 1 hour to register, there is no system in checking on, long queue, i booked 2 rooms but the hotel said i booked only 1 room, we have to wait linger for that. we cant get to see the fire works from our room, cant choose room, pool was closed.

Dirty room - Managers who don't care....
I am writing this at 1.30am to let you know that we have had a terrible experience at this Regency Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Upon check in at about 5.30 pm we realised that both our rooms 1921 & 1922 had blown light bulbs in the corridor, in the wardrobe, and the side table, then both mini fridges were out of order , both phones were not working either (what if there was an emergency!!?) and lastly for the worst part, we found cockroaches in the room. Had to go down to the reception for assistance and even spoke to the manager who said he'll come up to take a look but instead sent the housekeeper and maintenance guy .all the while, had us waiting for more than an hr, not daring to sit anywhere in the room. We then had the housekeeping spray some insecticide to kill 2 cockroaches we saw by the bed before we had to go out for our dinner appointment. Upon returning to our rooms just around midnight, to our horror, the insecticide had made even more cockroaches come out of their hiding and were running everywhere in the room,on the bed , under the bed and sofa chairs!! This was a last straw for us. She was visibly shaken and upset. We came down to reception yet again immediately and requested to see the duty manager but there wasn't any. We had the reception clerk work out a way to change us to another room and we decided to cancel the second night and have booked a second night elsewhere immediately. This has been a very horrible experience for me, with my visiting from France

Historic and classical 60s hotel in pasar chow kit
The hotel is very classical and authentic in a busy pasar chow kit. Aa a heritage hotel the toilet curtains and door frames can be better maintained. Great that KL chow kit still have historic hotel with 60s style. Lovely piano in the cafe lobby.

the considerate staff to let us a later check out so that we are able to perform our prayers. there are cockroaches in the room and toilet. the iron is not available in the room and troublesome for guest to go to the iron room. the iron room is pretty hot as it doesnt has any fan or aircond in it.

I arrived the hotel 16th August 2019, the reception staff was polite and friendly, how every checking took a while. The facilities urgently requires an upgrade, from the lift to the rooms, the air con was not cool. The only plus for me is the swimming pool which I really enjoyed.

Big NO. Stay away from this place. I thought The Regency KL had a nice ring to it but no! I let slide the fact that this hotel is right in front of a wet market. Our room was visibly dusty and untidy. Stains on the carpet, sheets and towels. TV in our room was one of those old types, no remote control and definitely no cable TV. No wifi! The very basic of creature comforts that you expect even from the smallest of inns like toothbrush, toothpaste and other toiletries were not provided. We let those slide. But what we could not take was the dirty, dark, rusty water that greeted us in the shower on the early morning of our 3rd day in the hotel. The way they handled the situation was appalling with no other solution than to keep the water running for 30mins. 3 hours later, the water still had rust particles and we couldn't go on with our day because of their horrible facilities. Front desk promised to send bottled water but failed to deliver so we decided to check out and demand a refund. While front desk ladies were apologetic, the manager never said a single sorry to us and was arrogant when she faced us. I'm very patient and forgiving and if the water incident did not happen, I would have finished my stay there and probably leave them a 1 out of 5 rating instead of a big ZERO. What made it worse was that there was a nearby Hilton budget hotel less than 50 meters away that's almost giving me the finger every time I look out the window for the bad decision I've made
